The tone of their videos shifted noticeably for me, from neutral science information with funny birds, to a more agenda driven tone with funny birds. Like most of the current videos arent trying to explain some cool phenomenon or wacky "what ifs", but instead trying to scare you into watching the videos with click bait thumbnails and titles like "GERMANY IS OVER!" and "You need to quite WEED" with the thumbnail saying "Youre too old". There are dozens of others like that but those were just more recent. I don't need to be made to feel bad about myself to be enticed to watch a video....Its just really off putting.
From my limited understanding, OpenAi's "agent' was given a set of tasks to complete and heavily incentivized (how ever they do that?) to solve the problems it was given. The Ai was put in a sandbox environment with some limited network stuff like printers connected but no actual access to the open internet. The Ai somehow used the network to access the internet and breached some protected sites from Huggingface. Im fairly certain that the Ai had credentials and access for things in huggingface already and didn't hack those but just used them once free. The caveat here, is that the engineers set this up and the LEFT for the day only to find out later that it had breached the sandbox. This is what OpenAi claims happened to them. Meta is just saying theirs did too.
Ive left so many channels ive been subscribed to for years recently, because they started using Ai. For them, I give a three strike system. I leave comments saying stop using it or i unsub, and then after the 3 I actually unsub. I don't know if it makes a difference, but im sick of it. I don't want to watch what some clanker spit out over what these creators ive enjoyed for years are capable of.
On a scale of Martha Stewart to Snoop Dogg, how high are you right now? Im at least a Weird Al interviewing Snoop/Dogg but im still having trouble following you.
It still recommends videos on the sidebar while watching other stuff. If your watching Tom Scott for example you will get a lot of relevant videos and a mix of his other vids on the side.
"hey sorry i missed your text, ive been dead to the world." Someone used that on me a while ago and i respect them more and more each time i think about it.
Last time i really opened up, i was one upped and then fired a couple months later because opening up made people (my boss who one upped me) uncomfortable.
