  • Not only is this exaggerated and false, her buying in selling is now online which I think shouldn't happen but I understand why they did so. Since being online it has still out performed them, and shown no insider trading. So if you want to bring some evidence I'd be glad to look at it but this claim has been so widely said people just accepted it like much of what Trump says. The number of Republicans and Democrats who have wanted Pelosi gone is extraordinarly high (often for good reasons), if there was evidence of it they would have used it to bring her down and put her in jail. Instead it appears she has invested in mostly tech companies over "40 years" and done well because of it.

  • Assuming they spent every dollar her husband made in his life while being an investment banker, and just put her wages in, using 10% average growth (10 year average is over that for the Stock market).

    She is below average for the market. She'd be worth about 210 million. But she's way lower than that in real life.

    When you can deposit $174,000 to income annually into the market... You arent playing the same struggles that we are.

    Her money would very likely check out, you have to remember she's been in office for 48 years. That's a long fucking time. She was at JFK's inauguration as a 20 year old student studying to become a Congress member.

    I don't think she's a good person, but when people accuse her I think they overlook how long she's worked

  • Worse in my opinion. They can openly manipulate the media and funding easier. The shots at the presses freedoms are going unchecked. If you make money off media/journalism and the offices are allowed to simply tell media outlets they can't attend anymore they are going to fall in line or lose their income and die. Shit even that dumb Epstein document thing was clearly a shot at freedom of the press. They knew most of it was already given to the public previously, yet wanted to control how the media reacted to Trump being tied to it. So they specifically launched it via channels they knew would defend Trump no matter what.

  • Years ago at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights they used bottom fill beer dispensers. They had a connector on the bottom of the cup so you could grab a cup pop it down on the machine and keep going. Say 15 beers in seconds. The beer fills to the exact height needed with the exact desired foam amount on top. No over poors or needing to have any loss. Time was cut down drastically. The cups had to be expensive, but when your charging $10 for $1 with of product you don't have to worry to much about cup cost I guess. I remember thinking at that moment American Capitalism has peaked haha.

  • That data has to be scewed by region. Over half the population can't swim well enough to save themselves from a current. If I asked 10 people in my life when they fished last, 9 of them would say not in the last 10 years. Likely 10 of them would say they have never used a fishing net. A rod and reel is all you ever normally see.

    There are people who fish all the time, and there are people who have never seen the ocean or an actual large lake. Many of the people I meet have never been on a boat.

    I lived in Panama City Beach for 5.5 years and went fishing once, and never with a rod or nets. We went flounder gigging, so just a spear really.

  • I think it's also a product of the guy on the left likely has never used and will never use a fishing net. It's kind of like the tarrifs on Canada. America wasn't ever complaining that drugs were being trafficked over the the Canadian border but that is the reason they are giving for the tarrifs. The truth I see is one of the highest imports from Canada to the U.S. is Aluminum. Coke already stated if Aluminum costs go up, they will simply make more of their products in plastic bottles instead to keep their costs down. Those plastic bottles are made from petroleum which funds much of the GOP's campaigns. He is simply paying back oil executives by ensuring aluminum prices rise. Cokes profits stay the same, Oil companies profits go up. Where does the money come from? Working class Americans

  • I didn't know about it. Tried to pull into Kroger after work and couldn't find a parking spot. I'm going to say it is likely even the stores didn't know about it. Ended up saying forget it, skipped dinner and picked up something from the mom and pop liquor store instead. That about sums up America for me right now

  • I keep hearing commericals for them advertising to kill clover. Always annoys me. If clover grows in your yard, your yard likely needs the nutrients (nitrogen likely). Also, it helps bee populations, which helps well... Life.

    Clover was never a weed until weed killer came around out and killed it with everything else in the grass. So they started an ad campaign that told people it was a weed and convinced people that white flowers in your yard look bad.

    So now everytime I hear an advertisement that mentions killing clover I remind myself not to buy products by the brand who says it. Also, clover honey is delicious.
