    Speaking of this, are there any PieFed users who have tried uploading images as a post through an app? Have you noticed that doing so counts toward your 50 MB upload quota, while uploading images on desktop does not count toward the quota?

  • It's not the only difference. Here's the list of differences from the devs. It's just that for me, I like the UI better. But there are other reasons, including political reasons, why some people migrated to Piefed.

    But once again, the beauty of the Fediverse allows you to choose. :) I think the biggest thing that should concern you is whether your instance frequently defederates from others, or if others defederate from your instance.

  • I used to be on Lemmy, but I prefer PieFed's UI better. You can also set scheduled threads, which is pretty nice if you post things frequently. But whichever you choose, Lemmy and Piefed can interact with one another. And that's the beauty of the Fediverse.
