  • To expose your services easily and securely look up tailscale it's completely free and is setup per device, ex download on your moms phone and you can manage that phones access.

Tailscale uses wiregaurd and some weird ass NAT magic to make every device have direct connections to each other creating a "tailnet"

It's a zero trust architecture so you have to whitelist every device on it. What that means practically is it's very difficult to compromise and that's by it's nature. You don't have to have a high technical level to be very secure using tailscale.

There is also twingate which I think is similar but I'm not as familiar with twingate

  • That's fair but tailscale isn't a traditional vpn, it makes direct connections between two devices. it was also designed to be extremely easy to setup and it's free for up to 100 devices.

Again it's fair if you don't want to mess with it

  • Tailscale

  • I work in a factory in R&D, we are planning a factory out. What you are saying is absolutely true. After a certain point the tariff walk backs are irrelevant because big purchases have already been made which locks the choice in. This point has already been hit and upper management, hell honestly even vendor we talk to, has zero confidence in how everything will play out until trumps out of office.

  • I found the more I work with high dollar equipment in a lab the more relaxed I've become with it. Everything is so obscenely priced in R&D you just get desensitized

  • Work in an industry that uses raw RE oxides to produce medical equipment.

We are fucking toast if these tariffs and restrictions are kept.

You literally can't get some of these REs anywhere else in the world as in the natural abundance is literally only in china.

What you said is correct I imagine but some of the REs are utilized in a raw format in us based plants.

  • Most first-world-problem shit I've ever heard.

Yeah I shouldn't criticize my paid service because there are bigger problems out there

  • Yeah I despise LLMs ( really they are fine what I actually hate is how much it's getting shoved into things) but I won't act like they don't have any use cases. It's a bit obstinate to act like they have no use.

  • I dunno why you're getting down voted, this is the world as it is unfortunately.

I mean didn't Schumer just bow to the Trump admin to get their budget passed? I don't know about everyone else but I see most dems talk a big game but when it comes down to actions I just don't see them following though.

I would like to caveat this with, I did vote and I voted blue across the board( even though few dems on my ballot were actually progressive). I'm not saying both sides are the exact same but in my mind the decisions the DNC made up to this point are part of the variables on how we got here. Ex: if Hilary wasn't hamfisted in in 2016 maybe we wouldn't be in the worst time line, and that's the tip of the tip of the iceberg.

  • What community would be more appropriate? I'm pretty loose with fediverse communities. I'd rather throw more content up even if it's not the best fit just to give Lemmy more content and this post got a shitton of interaction

  • Quantitative analysis flashbacks form this, I learned the fastest way to figure out how much reactant you need to figure out the tipping point of the ph was to just run quickly adding large jumps of aloquates on the first attempt ,let it turn dark, then on the next one go ahead and add a safe amount of reactant I found from the first attempt then go super slow with the drip rate after. Was pretty consistently one of the first to leave lab

  • Was he the one caught smoking crack?

  • Am chemist can confirm, I would look at a coworker real funny if they said un-ionized

  • I had a point in here somewhere but I’m so tired i lost it so feel free use your imagination

Fuck I feel this, I have to delete comments halfway through writing them sometimes because I meandered too far from the original point and forgot was I was trying to say

  • Trump lies every time he speaks, it's the expectation and he met it. That's not news. Biden showed up looking like he was on death's door when he hadn't before, that is news.

  • It's not right wing narrative. After I watched the debate I was pissed and felt like the Biden administration had hid the fact that Biden isn't in a condition to be president because that's what happened.

Trump didn't have any coherent answers but you could at least hear him

  • It's technically like 15.7M , it's the highest concentration you can get before you hit fuming (~70wt% iirc). Although anything you do with it after makes it fume like crazy anyway.
