  • Probably when they defended Halliburton in Gulf War 2?

  • You don't pay be to be busy 100% of the time, you pay be to be 100% busy sometimes.

  • The furure is now.

  • I've tried using Strawberry on Bazzite with a remote library on my local server but I get crashes/hangs. Ive started using Picard to do my metadata editing and I play the music with Emby.

  • My specific printer wasn't listed in the default print manager but it also didn't make a difference when I tried to manually add it via the brother website. Its an old and shitty printer, I need to just replace it.

  • Yeah I went through the whole process to download the linux drivers and generate the package as outlined on the Brother website. I could never get it functioning properly that way. The generic driver that the bazzite/fedora print manager used occasionally works but again, it does weird stuff sometimes.

  • Brother printers are pretty miserable. I'm on bazzite and no joke, there is a solid 10 minute delay from when I hit the print button to when it prints. It used to scan, then stopped one day with not explanation. Ive use the same printer on the same version/release of fedora on my laptop and it works fine now but it didn't when it worked on my bazzite desktop. The driver/CUPS thing shows up nothing sometimes, and sometimes finds the printer after 400 attempts even if I search by mac address, ip address, hostname, doesn't matter. The little gremlins in the machine decide when I can print or scan.

  • At 3 am in the dark from inside a car you think you could tell a difference? I'll agree the cheap stuff I had was not super realistic but I wouldn't mess with it. It was really dumb of me to have not changed out of if at the time. People in law enforcement have really itchy triggers nowadays.

  • In like 2008 I was coming back from an overnight airsoft event in rural Texas at like 3am and had to stop for gas. I pulled into the only gas station in a small town just off the highway and was just about to get out of the truck when a sketchy dude walks out from behind the gas pump and started asking me questions through my window hey man, cool truck, is that yours or your parents, where you coming from? I rolled out of there real fast and found a safer stop up the road.

Keep in mind, I was in military gear at the time because I was young and dumb, but that didn't stop sketchy McCrackhead from chatting me up.

  • Mine are too little for now for much more but I have gotten them successfully to use our Emby server for videos and music. Calling that a win.

  • I'll check that out, I already do dairy-free except cheese and butter but I will be damned if I avoid onions.

  • I go with the flow.

  • To make it worse, I was working full time at the time. It was the only way I could get to the next course in the schedule since certain classes were only offered in certain semesters so if I had missed that window, I would have been set back a year. It was awful.

  • Nah, Old Gregg has standards or at least some kind of code he lives by.

  • I did a summer "mini-mester" for my undergrad Fluid Mechanics class where the class was condensed into 4 or 6 weeks but you met every day and it was FUCKING BRUTAL even though I was only doing that one course. I can't imagine doing that for a full 15hrs of coursework. This smells more like a click through the classwork once randomly, figure out the right answers from the online quiz when they pop up at the end, then click the right answers the next time type of situation but for a whole program.

How this got accredited (if it actually is) is beyond me.

  • Real talk, do you get hella gassy and if so how do you deal with it? I've been making an effort to eat more fiber and it's created levels of gas that has me concerned that the US might bring me democracy soon.

  • The local community college has(d?) a good rock station with no ads but I am just out of range of their transmitter since we moved so I have not been able to listen for the last couple years.

In the US, the HD stations also don't play as many or any ads, I don't know how they are funded but its pretty cool. Mostly deep cuts or out of vogue genres. There are a couple of cool local jazz, blues, oldies or others.

  • When it comes to acoustics, strength is not the only variable. I've seen printed speakers where the infill is set as minimally as possible, then the print is either filled with sand or resin to change the natural frequency of the model.

  • Tucows?! Now that's deeplore from the before times.
