  • I love your comics. Always the perfect balance of cute and LOL. I follow you on IG too but the algorithm doesn't show me your stuff. But keep going!

  • Everytime I see this comic I wonder if it's AI generated because it just doesn't make much sense.

  • Ahh so much of that nowadays. Probably AI written too, ironically.

  • Educate me?

  • Ssshhhh! Shut up you! Snitches get stitches!!!

  • That high horse you live on is going to buck you off onto your face one day and I will enjoy it.

  • Besides all the obvious problems with this, the biggest one I see coming that I don't see many people talking about is how Amazon will inevitably use this to put others out of business if they don't cooperate with Amazon. They've already done this hardball game with sellers voer the last decade that if you don't sell on Amazon for an unsustainable low price + pay Amazon fees you'll find yourself losing business to Amazon's stolen copies of your products under the "Amazon Basics" brands. Well proven they do this, and I can see that if you find yourself scraped by this new AI program and you fight it, you're going to be getting a visit from the Amazon Mafia.

  • Incorrect. They have a new "ai feature" that scrapes the internet for independent stores and copies their products, pastes them on Amazon and then sells them to Amazon customers. Their AI then goes and places the order with the original store. Read the article and the news - it's widely reported in the last couple weeks. It seems like a "good thing for sellers and consumers" There are dozens of problems with this which are well covered elsewhere.

  • I have been trying to break my Amzon Addiction for years. This did it. Walmart is lesser evil now.

  • "We don't have a cat."

  • I tried using it's proper name and it's still misbehaving. Any other ideas? 😅

  • Just a single color profile. See my clarification above.

  • Hi everyone, thanks for your suggestions. I did try to turn it off and reslice the model, but it seems the situation is getting worse. I think my printer has lost it's damned mind: Not only is it pooping every few layers, but it's now started having an error every 5 minutes that says: "The nozzle is covered with filament, or the build plate is installed incorrectly." Neither of these are true. I've checked the nozzle and the build plate multiple times and it's all OK. I also had a couple extrusion errors that seemed false. Restarting the print was fine until these other errors. Searching the forbidden place for info indicates the false nozzle errors seem to be a common problem after a firmware update but I have never updated the firmware on my printer ... for...reasons... and it's never had this problem before.

    Some clarifications:

    • When I say purge, I don't mean it's building a purge TOWER. I mean it's pooping out the little globs to the left of the picture above.
    • It's just a simple 1 piece Tinkercad model, exported to STL and sliced in Bambu Studio. it only has one filament in the slice. Here's a screenie of the sliced attributes: https://i.imgur.com/ZWc6stB.png
    • I can't seem to figure out how to view the gCode in BS so I can't see if there's weird commands in there telling it to do weird things.
    • I'm using the filament profile in BS for the Overture PLA, which is the filament brand/type I'm using.
    • When it gives the nozzle/bed error I can see clearly that it's not true and click resume and it continues to print for 5+ more minutes and repeats.

When I told it to stop printing from the screen controls it was like WHAAAAT!? and then just started spitting filament everwhere and then just plunged itself into the print and sat there in a very strange position. See all those little strings coming off the print? That's where it needed to go poop. See the blob at about 10:00 on the print? That's where I told it to stop printing and the print head decided to just dump right where it was and then plunge off the edge into the blob itself.

Why BambuLabs A1 pooping so frequently? (Sorry, not sorry.)

  • Actually, your question made me debunk my theory. It can't be the disturbance of the poo. He's never buried it in the first place. LOL We have a camera enabled in there to keep track of their habits and found he's not a very bright cat... after he makes his dump he will spend 10 minutes scratching the ceiling of the litter box, the sides of the shower, the floor outside the litterbox but he never scratches the litter or successfully buries anything. So it can't be that he buried it before lol.

  • closes wikipedia thank you for the nightmare. Sigh.

  • I bet I could clog the toilet if I dump the whole bag from the robot in there... 🤔

  • Thanks for the tips! I had been considering changing the litter too. We currently use Worlds Best because it is flushable and having them been in the bathroom this whole time before that was very helpful with the toilet right there but now we don't need that. I'll look into it. 🙂

  • I wondered how long it would be before you showed up...

  • I have it set to 15 minutes currently. Now that I think l about the that and that we normally have to evacuate right after the cat does.... It can't really be the robots fault. It hadn't done any excavation yet. Hmm. That being said, I might experiment with a daily cycle instead of per use...
