  • There is a Holliwood trope that likes to portray vlack men as more "animalistic" lovers, the darker the skin, the more they are reduced to their primal sexual urges. Since Holliwood does it, there is quite a lot of people that subconsiously believe these type of racists ideas.

  • The point is: the whole appeal of the PS was, having the disc. Many would only have a PS because of the Disc. Now that there is no longer a disc what's the point of having a PS? It has more expensive games, shittier graphics and performance to a PC.

  • It would have been great if there was not the questions of;

    • costs: to operate and to build one.
    • safety (unfortunately, the times are less and less safe and having a big target that can devastate a huge are isn't ideal).
    • there is no real plan for what to do with the nuclear waste. => shipping everything to and old salt mine is no longer viable.
    • yes it's C02 neutral, but the impact on the enviroment to enrige the materials and later cool the radiactive material is also considerable.
    • are there even enough people that can operate one?
    • you still have realiance on others for the radiactive materials.
    • Just like other renewable energies the nuclear power plants are often not operating and out of the grid. (During this haat wave for example to river water was too hot to be used as coolant and the nclear powet plants had to be put of the grid.

For all this I think it's a waste of resources to invest on an old technology thats sounds cool but has been proven to have many major drawbacks, compared to what it has to offer. So I'm all for using these resources in renewable energy sources, how to be more efficient with them, how to improve the accumulation capacities and how to have grids that are cimpatible with them.

  • Don't yuck other peoples yum. As long as it's legal.

  • And at some places they even reassign them new genders: The coat of arms of Berne Switzerland has a bear with a red penis. The US town: New Berne has a bear without a penis as a coat of arms. This means during the sea transport, Berne's bear outed themselves as Transgender and changed their sex to a lady-bear. (At least in my head cannon)

  • Techbros really going beyond to invent shittier less efficient trains.

  • I really like it here because people here are like that. It's way better than the rest of the socual medias where anti-intelectualism won.

  • For me it's

Breakfast: Wholegraim bread with a Banana (sometimes a nut spread) + Coffee

Luch: Currently due to the heat wave some type of bean salat with tofu bites and a protein bar.

Dinner: Proteinshake & lentin wavers with hummus and some vegies & vegan cold cuts.

  • All other social media sucked and were bad. Reddit wasn't that bad and I had my subs that where fun. Then reddit blew up and so many people started flooding with their agenda. Specially once Elmo bought out twitter. So called "twitter refugees" came over and turned it into twitter wanna be. This got bot farms active and now every second post if not every big post you see is just a bot post with a very clear agenda. And now you can't even look at their profile histories anymore.

When I heard of Lemmy I was, hmm ok maybe it's good. And to be honest, it feels like old school reddit, which is awesome. Yes, you get less interactions, but they are more meaningfull than the ones on reddit.

  • No, if you are Vegan. Yes, if you eat animal products. The question is, do you care?

  • For me it's Friends. I don't get all the hype about it until today. I tried watching a few episodes but it was nothing special. It was just a sitcom, nothimg special about it.

  • When that bubble pops, it will be the funniest, saddest and stupidest economic crisis we've ever had.

  • For me it did not change how people treat me, but how I treat myself. This than reflected how I interact with people and made them treat me better in return.

After going from ~145kg (320lbs)to ~82kg(181lbs) my confidence skyrocketed and I got very possitive and in the mindset of everything is possible if ypu work hard enough.

This mindset did not leave me even when I when back to ~118kg (260lbs) and I was still as popular as I was when I was ~ 82kg (181lbs).

After 1 year with ~118kg tho, the confidence started to waver as I did struggle to get back down and was mentaly in a break point anyways because, you can't outrun the trauma and I had to address my eating dissorder (binge-eating) and undiagnosed neurodiversity.

Now with therapy I'm back back to ~98kg(216lbs) and I started loving and accepting myself again, I often get compliments from people saying, I look great and happy compared to one or two years ago. Not just from the weight but also the aura around me is quite more possitive.

  • Spaghetti-ohs twitting: Take a moment to think of pearl harbor with their O-shaped mascot holding an american flag. I'm not american, neither have I ever tried Spaghetti-ohs until today I say Oh-oh-Spaghetti-ohs when something bad is gonna happen as it was one of the first interenet controversies I was interrsted enough to follow.

Also a newer one: Heidi Klum and her daughter & Mom all lingerie commercial for intimissimi. It kinda missed the mark beucause all 3 tried to look very seductive, but how it was shot it make it look very homoerotical, which is wierd because you got a grandma, a mum and a daughter trying to seduce each other...

  • Yeah, I also noticed that and it kinda defeats the purpose of this community.

  • There is a reason why they keep getting banned...

  • What, sauce?

  • First of all you are not dumb, just because you are bad in school. School often sucks for people as it's way too standardized and cannot take into account the needs of all students. The fact that you are thinking that hard about it shows that you are quite a smart person. Also language barrier often makes things more complecated.

Now a question you have to ask yourself, do you really like going to collage that much? Or are you there because of social preasure and the fear of not making it in life if you don't get a collage?

Once you can honestly answer that question ask you this: is there focational programs in the country you are at? If so, what trades can you see yourself working at? Are there trade schools on that specific field, to keep climbing the leader? How difficult is it to start your own business once you are experienced in that trade?

If you are unsure about all these question, maybe look for a career counselor, so they can help you find something you can do.

In anycase, good luck and stay strong and remeber you are so much more worth than just a career choice.

  • Since the rise of influencers it hasn't been social at all. Also Shitter Ratio-ing people made it so much more worse as the whole social aspect went from we kinda underatand we are humans behind the creen with some decency changed to who and how can I ragebait the best.
