  • Yeah, I was not discussing that, I'm with you on that. What I'm talking is about the broader concept and appliance of religious exemptions (you do not pay the same amount of taxes [but a minor amount], or you do not pay taxes at all, because you are religious).

Because, if I understood well, that's also being defunded, and I'm in favor of that, even while I'm not favorable to the idea of defunding them in general, because they still make a valuable social labor.

Sorry if I'm explaining myself bad.

  • Like, religious schools are still receiving an special benefit just because they're religious, which is unfair. I also think that the more general defunding is bad, but school or not, you shouldn't receive any special treatment just because of your religious nature.

  • Although I think religious exemptions should be widely prohibited

  • Yeah, someone can run a local model and then train or fine-tune it with other people's work, then make it spit a sloppy collage of all it and say is something new and that they did it so it's of their property.

  • Sis fr, I'm a freelancer music producer and I've seen my demand fall into the ground, a horrific free fall to the darkest of the bottomless gaps... All that while they just use and praise music that sounds all like if it were just chops from the same giant shitty song.

  • And the ones who can't do it are actually just stupid and inept folks that barely can read and they still stutter.

  • Omg I hope so, because if it's really a human body, it might be there since the accident.

  • Yeah, Russia and China bootlickers.

I don't know what are the worse ones, tho, if these two of the US bootlickers.

    It's hard to decide.

  • I truly don't want to try your app... I don't want all my data leaked or my PC, laptop or phone bricked just because a dumb AI-slop code error.

  • AI is changing everything... Mostly to bad, that's the part they keep.

  • Zamn, that's wild, he surely is now a celebrity 😅

  • Idk, I just keep seeing like a skeleton. Mainly the skull, ngl. It can be pareidolia or something like that, though.

  • Lololol, that sounds like a good story to be told in a dinner

  • I was referring to "You should do that but you shouldn't do that" lmao, because I was recognizing that it was a straw man, as I only said it as a joke.

  • Yeah, it makes me laugh everytime I think about it.

  • "You should do that but you shouldn't do that"

Anyways, besides the straw man, the point is that I don't even consider that to be bad, so I think that saying that it shouldn't be done — even if merely at the moral-level, but not at the legal level — it's problematic.

Edit: The straw man is "You should do that but you shouldn't do that", that's simply a joke.

  • Saying something isn't good is the same to say that something shouldn't be done, is a logic equivalence in ethics.

  • I love how almost everybody defederates with Lemmygrade lmao

  • What if her husband/spouse (or his husband/spouse) actually had a customer-service-voice fetish?

  • Bro, they sell the DM and Stories on Snapchat to be private "if you decide so". They do separate private Stories (that supposedly are only shared with people you whitelist) and public Stories, and the same with DM. I know as I have used Snapchat back in 2021, before I got heavily interested in privacy. Maybe some things have changed, but they do still sell, promote and do marketing stuff telling that it is private. Yeah, we do know it's false, but trust me that marketing can be a powerful force.
