Poverty is a reason. You don't know what I can and can't afford. Households will obviously have to decide for themselves how they will balance quality/nutrition and price, especially in this economic climate...

That's whataboutism. The simple fact is, the vast majority of people don't want or need microphone capabilities in their tv/remote (unlike a smartphone). But it's there and can be exploited. Add in the fact that TVs are opaque privacy nightmares. Do most people know what they're doing at any given moment? Not a chance.
