  • Stop the investment, most importantly.

  • Also install a bunch of games on homescreen. Wtf is "blocks!"

  • Didn't he survive 2 assasination attempts before without worry, what's the difference with a mere threat?

  • People gambling away a small portion of their generational wealth is, in practice, infinite money.

It's kinda impressive. Technology has come so far that upper class is basically living in a post-scarcity collective now.

We could get away with 6 hour work-weeks at $300/hr if we just removed the middlemen inefficencies from the economy.

  • Funkyfrogbait and Drew Gooden.

I just wait until they upload a bunch of stuff so I can return.

  • I feel that annoyance. For example when people call middle-easterners "brown," happens even on lemmy, but I think it's used as more of a rhetoric device meaning "non-european" here so it's not as bad.

  • Are they not using AI because they are normal, or are they normal because they aren't using AI?

  • I think we just (rightfully) lost faith in tech products overall by now.

  • Crimean Khanate: I want a horde-nation in modern times, and I want it in Crimea.

Rojava: Is already a progressive, socialist, Kurdish, secular government with high anarchist influence in middle-east, imagine if they had rest of Kurdistan and independence.

  • Plot twist: The recipe for making lead into gold requires copius amounts of orphan blood.

  • I blame the image generators more than the people. If they didn't exist, nobody would be blaming the artist for anything.

There are probably artists thinking "I don't wanna post my art online cause what if they call it fake or use it to train" too nowadays.

Alternatively, we could change social traditions to one where it's normal to go "Well artist's credit is there, I will investigate real quick." But that's for later.

  • Join a cool club. Best way to make cool friends.

Pick classes and professors that are easy. A single bad semester can fuck GPA.

  • Non-profits still have employees and managers and so on.

Unions mean non-profits can't just hire/fire people unfairly, and managers see it as a personal attack on them. They don't want any less than 100% control.

Also corporate grants and donations give steady increases to their income, and unions negotiate raises for employees rather than managers when that happens.

Technically "openai foundation" is also a non-profit too.

  • It's likely trained on them.

  • If this was a close lose that would still be a win because of how close it was.

  • Awesome usage of the word "consequential."

  • Wikimedia mainly does the technical work like programming the servers and hosting the website.

You can think of it as almost like a tech company, they are even partnered with google, another union-busting tech company, tho wikimedia is a non-profit.

One issue people had is that only a small portion of donations go to wikipedia, and rest go to wikimedia's other projects.

For example, they own the wikipedia trademark and sell merch, so donation money goes there also.

Honestly I overall liked the foundation, their other projects are still "free dictionary" and "free textbooks" and so on. However union-busing is really makimg me dislike them now.
