  • Plot twist: The recipe for making lead into gold requires copius amounts of orphan blood.

  • I blame the image generators more than the people. If they didn't exist, nobody would be blaming the artist for anything.

There are probably artists thinking "I don't wanna post my art online cause what if they call it fake or use it to train" too nowadays.

Alternatively, we could change social traditions to one where it's normal to go "Well artist's credit is there, I will investigate real quick." But that's for later.

  • Join a cool club. Best way to make cool friends.

Pick classes and professors that are easy. A single bad semester can fuck GPA.

  • Non-profits still have employees and managers and so on.

Unions mean non-profits can't just hire/fire people unfairly, and managers see it as a personal attack on them. They don't want any less than 100% control.

Also corporate grants and donations give steady increases to their income, and unions negotiate raises for employees rather than managers when that happens.

Technically "openai foundation" is also a non-profit too.

  • It's likely trained on them.

  • If this was a close lose that would still be a win because of how close it was.

  • Awesome usage of the word "consequential."

  • Wikimedia mainly does the technical work like programming the servers and hosting the website.

You can think of it as almost like a tech company, they are even partnered with google, another union-busting tech company, tho wikimedia is a non-profit.

One issue people had is that only a small portion of donations go to wikipedia, and rest go to wikimedia's other projects.

For example, they own the wikipedia trademark and sell merch, so donation money goes there also.

Honestly I overall liked the foundation, their other projects are still "free dictionary" and "free textbooks" and so on. However union-busing is really makimg me dislike them now.

  • Wikipedia is volunteer-run and an awesome project.

    Wikimedia on the other hand...

  • Bat is my favorite command to date.

  • I will say it's ancient equivalent of "comissioning your grave into being made a modernist art display."

  • Job recruiters get scared.

  • Why Fr*nch? At least pick an agglutinative language like Magyar/Hungarian so it's (or rather it feels) more algorithmic.

  • Any multi-millionaire on lemmy (what?) wanna buy my 50% chance?

If 50M is success I will give you 90% of it, but if it's failure then you will give me 50K

  • I am going insane because I was just curious if Persian speaking countries also read comic books right-to-left too, and despite the amount of specifying, my search engine just fucking insists that I am looking for the Manga reading directions. What happened to the internet?
