Any pronouns. 33.

Professional developer and amateur gardener located near Atlanta, GA in the USA.

I'm using a new phone keyboard, please forgive typos.

  • Obviously you can do what you want, you have free will.

  • 1 × X = X × 1. One pussy multiple times is lots of pussy!

  • Bawler is to baller as dawg is to dog.

  • When you say things like "some women can't resist assholes" it sounds like red pill rhetoric. A better way to say it might be like "some assholes prey on women's insecurities". Keep the focus on the person who is the problem, not the victims.

  • If you sum the hair removed from one lil guy you'll get 1. If you sum the hair removed from all lil guys you'll get the amount of lil guys.

But yeah, you're right. I think they're looking at the problem differently. We don't care about how much hair it has at each step. It can't gain hair from a hair cut.

  • I've gotten some on Discord. Men don't send unsolicited dick pics to show off, they show them to harass. I only get them from people I'm not paying attention to. Like if someone messages me and I stop messaging back that's typically when I get them. You can't fathom doing it because you're (hopefully lol) not someone who would sexually harass people. They don't feel shame for doing it. To them, getting any sort of reaction to it is the goal. Telling them "you're disgusting" would be giving them attention and something they want.

PSA: When you get unsolicited dick pics, block and report. Don't respond. Don't reward their behavior. If you'd like to go on some crusade to tell their mother (I've seen some people do that lol) that's another topic, but never reply to them directly by saying anything.

It sounds like my experience is a little different from this woman's though, I typically get them after I stop answering. I haven't ever gotten one in the first message. But the "uh, hello??" part tracks with what I've seen. It's attention seeking behavior.

  • It's easier to just say "just because something is legal doesn't make it okay".

  • I don't overthink people's expressions on trains, nor do I think we should be taking pics of people who look upset because they look upset.

  • Because a lot of times you specifically want people to know who you are lol.

  • Total Recall! It's worth a watch. This shit gives the idea that it's some sort of space horror movie, it's not. It's actually a bit funny at times. I loved it.

  • Remember when they had to define woke for some court case? The definition was something like acknowledging that there are inequalities in society. Superman's whole schtick is that he's morally good and has a ton of power but doesn't resort to authoritarianism. That seems pretty "woke" to me, too.

  • Honestly the first aviation was a human jumping. It didn't happen until about 3000 BCE. Much later than you'd think. Until then we always kept one foot on the ground. Those ancient humans that did persistence hunting? Yeah, turns out it was technically power walking.

  • Yeah, I find it really foolish to say 2025 is not distinctly different from 2000. The ubiquity of smart phones has been fucking crazy.

  • We had flight before airplanes! Why do people just ignore lighter than air travel lmao. Yes, planes are more impressive, but it wasn't like BAM plane BAM rockets.

  • ASCII tab

ASCII tab is a text file format used for writing guitar, bass guitar and drum tabulatures (a form of musical notation) that uses plain ASCII numbers, letters and symbols. It is the only widespread file format for representing tabulature, and is extensively used for disseminating tabulature via the Internet.

    Tablature

Tablature (or tab for short) is a form of musical notation indicating instrument fingering or the location of the played notes rather than musical pitches.

    Musical notation

Musical notation is any system used to visually represent music. Systems of notation generally represent the elements of a piece of music that are considered important for its performance in the context of a given musical tradition. The process of interpreting musical notation is often referred to as reading music.

If that information is incorrect, please contribute your expertise by editing the entries, because they lead me to believe calling ASCII tablatures notation is acceptable.

Even the article refers to them as notation.

Um, that’s just a screenshot of a ChatGPT session...! WTF? Obviously that’s not music notation. It’s ASCII tablature, a rather barebones way of notating music for guitar.

Our scanning system wasn’t intended to support this style of notation.

  • People use it to learn/teach how an existing song is played, it's not intended to actually notate music.

Using something to communicate how to play a song certainly sounds like a form of music notation to me.

  • This movie is so good. It captures the feeling of not knowing if you're stuck in a simulation better than The Matrix. While the movie is about implanted memories, not a simulation, it keeps the questioning going much longer than The Matrix.

  • Fascinating! Because this notation is already used by another tool (and possibly more), it might not be as silly as it sounds. From the headline it sounds like some really weird API was added to something.

Happy to see this sort of optimism in the wake of AI causing people's programs to get bad reviews because the AI thinks they can do things they can't.

Thanks for the share. Maybe I'm looking too far into it, or just in one of those moods, but this really is oddly inspirational to me.
