Indigenous Canadian from northern Ontario. Believe in equality, Indigenous rights, minority rights, LGBTQ+, women's rights and do not support war of any kind.

  • I'm in Canada and I've always supported the third candidate consistently. I always vote the New Democratic Party, the NDP in our province and national elections ... I'll even volunteer a bit of time and support the local campaigns and I donate to them annually. And it never matters to me, if polls show that they are definitely going to lose, I'm still voting for them. Even if people claim that my vote is 'splitting' the vote, I'll still hold onto my principles and vote for who I want, not play some game to try to choose the one I disagree with the least.

  • It wasn't one man .... it was the whole nation that just stood there and watched him walk in. They might have complained about it but they did the bare minimum which wasn't enough to stop him.

  • At this point I believe that there was an advanced civilization 20,000 years ago .... then they devolved into an absolutely stupid culture of people that didn't care about reading or writing any more that they could only communicate by drawing simple stick figures and line animals on a cave wall.

    Then they all evolved again to become us.

    And we are continuing the cycle by dumbing ourselves down to the point where cave paintings will become meaningful to us again and we can repeat the cycle.

  • If you live in a northern climate, you have to rely on a very complicated and expensive delivery system that will supply you with this fruit that can only be grown in the tropics. And the only way to keep it economical is to create an economy where food prices are artificially kept low because first world countries systematically suppress developing countries that grow bananas into becoming stable economies that would actually provide better wages for farmers and workers who would raise the price of bananas.

    We have cheap bananas because we don't mind living in a world where we abuse farmers and workers to work for pennies to supply us in the first world with cheap bananas.

    Over the past decade, corporations have been actively developing an internet of services that heavily rely on just a small set of services ... and if any of them go down, everything is lost.
