  • 5 years? Hm, time to get some stuff from the 90s, when the internet was a timed luxury, so plenty of emulators and roms, they won't take much space. Videos are out, some porn will have to be static pics, some as gifs.

  • The article does say that philosophy as in the Greek version, that attributes religion and myths as something for the masses, is Haram.

    The first paragraphs are literally defining philosophy as 4 different studies and then separating that from traditional Greek philosophy.

  • My case was Paraguay War a few weeks ago and I learned so damn much that school completely glossed over. What surprised me the most was just how much of a madman Solano Lopez, the Paraguayan dictator, was. You dare bring bad news to him? You bet your ass you'll be flogged. You failed to follow one of his suicidal orders? Off to forced labor camp. You didn't put him above God and Christ? Say your prayers, you'll be shot bayoneted in order to save bullets.

  • Watching my mom do anything on the computer is a true exercise of patience. She found something neat on the internet? Open LibreOffice Writer, copy-paste the article title. Funny picture? Copy-paste it to that same doc. Youtube video? Copy-paste the video title to the doc.

    She complained more than once that she couldn't find those things some time later. I told her not to rely on titles, especially on Youtube, and to save the whole address instead. Of course, she ignored me and still saves titles and pictures in a .doc

It says that the participants were tasked, among other things, to rate how close they felt to celebrities, but the article doesn't mention the results, not even a single "rate themselves much less close than others"
