  • Its just a jump to your left.

  • if there are low activity communities you are interested in then click the bell icon so you get every post since they are so low activity. I actually unsubscribed to anything that was not real important for me to find later. So I mostly use subscribe as a way of keeping a list of communities I want to reference. EDITED: I forgot to mention block liberally. Its counterintuitive but good content can get drowned by stuff you don't like. blocking communities you 100% have no interest in and users who are aweful will keep that rough from hiding the diamonds.

  • I mean some folks are trying to get communities going.

  • some are not asking for engagement. I will comment. never tried it or something but I assume most will not really reply to it. It means im interested but I have no experience with the thing. granted this is the internet so my interest may be just enough to type a bit.

  • here is the thing. I think the meatheads argument is better but I still prefer to do it like archie.

  • eyup. tons of stuff should not need sign up and there should be more options to use another account.

  • same as why maga says its going to make things great or make bills they call beutiful.

  • this is where I think the mistake was made. I really think they should have started with the idea of a user and a user account as a place for various services to store configs and then did something like saml. So the most basic server to run would be a user server and you could even have simplified user applications that is for a user to keep his own user account. I think nostr would be a good way to start from this perspective but im not sure if its doing it really the way I am thinking.

  • Yeah mastodon because its like xitter is just something I have never been interested in social media wise. Kinda stinks because I like the watch party thing but I don't want to make an account for one thing. Heck I don't even make matrix or peertube even though those would be nice. I really wish there was more account login interoporability.

  • its just format. mastodon is like xitter and piefed/mbin/lemmy is like reddit.

  • unemployed but when I worked honestly it just was happenstance. if there are leftovers I might take those. sometimes I saw a microwave thing at the store and picked it up to try it out and did so at work. sometimes I picked something up somewhere near work. I got into fasting and I would fast on tuesday/thurs or mon/wens/fri. I had no calorie liquids but no calories. I found work was good to keep busy and not notice not eating as much. Especially when you get your belly full with liquid. So would eat last monday night lets say and not eat again till wednesday morning.

  • I mean your talking to a professional. It was thinks like this that got me to seek help although I think im going to put it on hiatus as Im unwilling to take the medication and there are to many things I have to fight to try and get done.

  • yeah sounds this way to me.

  • legitamate. the whole thing boils down to a president refusing to speak with his predecessor and do a proper turnover so was blindsided by something that was well known. The patriot act was essentially a law to fix a president not doing thier job.

  • I mean outside of everything else it was never my bag. Feels to cult of personality to follow people. I like it by subject like forums do. I mean it makes sense with things like youtube where its content driven.

  • yeah its kinda funny because its not like folks who used xcancel are going to use x. it just means less traffic overall for them if xcancel traffic goes away.

  • honestly I get pissed at the veteran and firs responder stuff. Sorry your the same as everyone else. People still benefit from the buildings construction workers made.

  • yes but it depends on the situation. what is valued now is different than what was valued in the past. what is valued in a democracy is different than what is valued in an autocracy. innate value no but people can choose to not express their value to if that value does not come back to them.
