Thing is for me personally I have a dependent and im in the red if I make somewhere under 90k unless they pay all medical expenses. It would not work for me it would be a slow death.

Im a bit jelly of your patients. One of my best doctors whas this deaf woman and Im like 99% sure its because she could say shove it I have a disablity and need to read lips so it takes as long as it takes.

Im married but my last dating thing was with a girl where I liked her and she was nice and responsible but I kinda felt like she did not like/love me as much as I met a sorta list of requirements and then was not bad from that subgroup. Then also I was thinking about a career change from IT to teaching high school and she sorta laughed that off. Because of your story I will mention another girl I dated. We had started dating and were doing a makeout session and I was getting to handsy for her and she told me to stop, she did not want to go that far. So I stopped and going forward did not go that far waiting for her to give some signal that the boundaries had changed. She broke up with me and dated someone I would describe as an asshole and I kinda feel she was looking for a guy to get her what she wanted while being able for it not to be her fault. Something I have seen again and again.

There are several times in my life where I have worked against my own interest. This would be for things people think of as morality but in my own thought patterns Im not sure if that exactly fits. I think it had a big impact on many folks involved. Mostly they are just surprised someone would actually do that and I think, or maybe its more hope, that it caused some introspection.

unfortunately no dedicated niche communities outside of maybe furries and anime to some degree have moved over to the fediverse. That I know of. Like particular games or such. Without those its mostly news, general entertainment, and politics.

wow. did a ctrl-f and firefly did not come up. Normally I find the first person to say firefly and reply to it. guess im that guy today. anyway. yeah. im one of those firefly folks. firefly for tv and lotr for movies.

not super interesting but long ago. Like in the late aughts. I guess street view vehicles were only setup to capture one direction or something and I moved my car for street cleaning and so for a time it appeared on both sides of the street.

its not just ai really. a lot of bs going on. I say people should risk their jobs to not bend to bs. work like you think you should and don't worry about if they think that is good enough. the modern world sucks and we should live in it genuinely as that is the only thing we have left to ourselves.

effectively it would be a clone. you lose your memories. if your a daredevil and die you lose your memories and your current ego. I would still not want to risk death in that scenario as its effectively the same as now from my current memory perspective.

I don't think it matters if you don't have memory. it lacks your ego and not make any decisions based on your experiences. Its basically like saying would you be ok with a clone made of you.

trolling never reflects well on teh troller. Its possible to do goofy harmless trolling with friends but you will look like a dork.
