One bastard nose hair. It grows long and it grows fast. Like sometimes it curls round inside the nostril and I don’t notice it for a week or two, then all of a sudden it pops out of my left nostril and it’s an inch long.
I try to get ahead of it some times but plucking a nose hair makes my eyes water like Niagara.
I think the issue isn’t AI stealing your content but AI flooding the web with slop.
Once upon a time you could find a niche without much content, write a blog and maybe even monetise it with some ad space to pay for costs plus a coffee. A friend of mine used to make a surprisingly decent income with a blog about coi carp.
There was always the risk someone else would start posting in the same niche and then you’d be competing for attention.
Now, though, it’s trivially easy to spin up an AI powered blog on any topic with dozens of SEO optimised articles per day and no human effort required.
So now you’re not competing with one or two other humans in your niche, you’re competing with potentially hundreds of AISlop blogs.
Personally I’d look to publish your content in video format. Text is pretty much a lost game at this point, video might hold out a little longer because it’s the personalities of channel owners that keeps people coming in.
When I was a child, I caught a fleeting glimpseOut of the corner of my eyeI turned to look, but it was goneI cannot put my finger on it nowThe child is grown, the dream is gone
Hmm, you make a good point. I suppose, similarly to American mustard with hot dogs, a German sweet mustard with a Weißwurst and pretzel is allowable. But let's not get carried away, here!
Teleportation. Most superpowers would be either useless on a day-to-day basis or - as another commenter suggested - would make you too inhuman to continue to have meaningful interpersonal relations with other normal humans.
And it would allow you to have a croissant in Paris for breakfast, spend the morning strolling along a beach in the Caribbean, pop across to a great barbecue place in Texas for lunch, pass the afternoon exploring the ruins of Pompei before an evening meal of scallops in Hobart. Even just not worrying about the daily commute, always being able to 'port home to use your own toilet during the day, just mundane stuff like that would be grand.
Dr Who. It was going great, the 4th doctor was the best ever, and then they ended the entire thing with him regenerating into Tristan Farnon. Don't think they made any after that.
Cooking: I love having friends or family come over for lunch or dinner and serving them something that they rave about.
Hiking: The quiet, still moments when there's no-one else (other than my wife who I usually hike with) around and we can absorb the sights and sounds of nature.
Role-playing games: When the story we're all creating together comes together perfectly.
This could have been prevented if armed 'protection' drones had been installed at the school. The cops could have just stayed in the donut shop while the drones swarmed the student.
In my country pedestrians always have right of way except on motorways.
