Good luck with innovation when your engineers' morale is in the shitter. I honestly don't even believe they want to innovate. They probably want to coast off name recognition and what they have for a while and see how long it takes before they start losing ground. The problem with this is it almost always comes back to kick them in the ass. Here is hoping for just that. Besides screw Cisco, I've only worked for companies that hate them and use everything else that gets the job done just as good for a fraction of the cost and way easier to set up.
What about Firefox? Looks like it exists for more than just chrome. I know because I literally used it this week for the first time ever due to being on vacation in a state that wants my photo to view porn... I couldn't believe this shit actually exists now.
I agree with all the things they are doing recently are making it way worse as a product, but I never really agreed on the whole "broken updates" thing. As someone who has used Windows forever and also an administrator at work, I can only recall 1 time where updates caused an issue when they were pushed through WSUS, and we quickly stopped the update. Personal use i have never had an issue.
If anything, I've experienced way more issues whenever updating a Mac. They break stuff all the time, especially when its a newer OS update.
Wouldn't people just leave? I feel like that's such an easy thing to do these days. If they are too old, they probably weren't using Chrome anyway and default to edge since its just there. I know not everyone would, but I wonder what the percentage would be in the end. They have been killing it themselves lately with the removal of the blockers. I've been on Firefox for over a decade now. If Firefox did something like this, I would be gone in a day.
Its been like 3 years since the last one for me and that was a .50 cent across the board one that was basically bullshit. Time before that was another 3 years and it was 3%... I did get 2 large raises in the past 10 years though, but those were basically given because we were already wayyyy behind the industry standard for our positions.

Sadly, Fall Guys. Little did I know when I started playing it when it released for free on PSN that it would become my most played game of all time. Having 8 of us to make 2 complete teams with every night was a lot of fun. It was just an easy game to play, but not think while playing and just talk with friends for an hour or 2 a night. Some of the funniest conversations I've ever had was during this game. This month marks 5 years of playing this on average 5 times a week. Sadly this year we all finally drifted and I barely played the last few months but maybe once or twice a week and with 1 or 2 others on a good night. 5 years is crazy long for me, so I will be shocked if we find anything else that grabs us like this ever again, but im hoping.
Sadly, I don't think many actually did. I remember the article about the giy being drafted and it said they moved based off another group recruiting people and they were only like 1 family of 2 or 3 to do so and it was a complete failure. I wish they all left.
I actually saw a news segment on the demo, and they said they would be thrilled if they were able to put these in every classroom and never have to use it. Im sure you would, buddy...
This reminds me of one time earlier this year I went to get some food which required me to get on the highway and then a main highway. The main highway is a 2 min drive to the next exit, and it's directly off the exit. So the entire trip is about 10 min. I got food, got back on the highway, and started thinking about stuff and not realizing I passed the exit to go back home. I then forgot exactly how bad that was because the next exit was 20 min away with no turn and full divider. So that dumb mistake cost me 40 minutes of time, and im basically screaming at myself the entire time for being a dumbass.
I'll buy a pumpkin or apple cider donut once or twice when they release around September. If they were available all year, I honestly doubt I would think about it or have it anymore than that. I can't be the only one that feels that way.
As someone who works in IT since 2005 I haven't seen many die. Then again we barely use them so maybe in my life I've handled about 10-15 and seen 2 die. One in spectacular fashion when our department gave us all one since they thought it was a tool that was needed. Every single one of them ended up dying within the year. Just goes to show quality of the product can matter significantly sometimes. Outside that, they are pretty reliable, but I also would trust them the least out of the other options available for storage.
