  • It's not lying if they have no idea what they're talking about and constantly swoon over it.

  • It's the time of year too

  • Oh no, that is super fucking lazy (I'm not even sure the word for it is lazy..), they are literally copying the assignment statement into an LLM, pasting the answer without reviewing it (not even the slightest curiosity about what was written?) and they're done?

  • Yeah, they WISH it were like gambling...but it is fraud, insider trading and stock manipulation.

  • That is exactly what's going to happen. Exactly what happened to Obama.

  • "See, you can see the code in binary, it is open source" :D

  • Ok, how can that be worse?

  • If investment and retail banks are not separate...you are always touching the stock market.

  • I think in practice they are saying that any shit that happens cant be blamed on anything but the submitter.

You can already make a project out of copypasted bits of code. So long as you understand what they do, vetted and vouch for it...it's fine, no?

  • MBAs solve yet another case, which other problem will they create and solve, but not really, next time?

  • Not tech, but good news nevertheless :D

  • "vanishes" from the pockets of buyers into the pockets of the IPOers

  • I'd just call (ok, text) one or two people who manage whatsapp groups I use the most and ask them to recreate the groups in some other platform, preferrably signal/element or such and add everyone back (via email preferrably). It would be a weird day for people with tons of contacts and groups...but it would not be a calamity...right?

  • Was it ever popular?

  • Make them pay proper taxes and force this race to burn money (to "win" at AI and take it all, supposedly) at everyone else's expense into the league of millions, not billions.

  • I saw a puff piece where they tried to promote these at a music festival as helping blind people see the world by having an LLM describe the environment around to them. They will even try disabled-washing to popularize these.
