Some people write that way, especially when they're trying to talk about a complex topic. In fact that's exactly the reason why some ai has that style, because it was trained on billions of pieces of human writing and that's the style some people write in.
I don't see a reason to assume that, but even if it was there's certainly no reason to think that it was used as anything other than a writing aid for what OP was trying to communicate.

What a fool. Even if you had a clearly written contract saying that in exchange for X dollars you would receive a pardon in return, it would make no difference, because a contact for illegal activities is completely non-binding and unenforceable.
It's like if you signed a contract to pay 5000 dollars for a kilogram of cocaine, but then they took your money and didn't give you any cocaine. If you go to a court with that they both won't force the other party to give you your cocaine or your money back, but additionally they'll charge you with an attempted drug purchase
Agreed, and that's the thing. It's inherently an all or nothing technology, no rules or regulations could ever be trusted to allow the good uses but prevent the bad uses. So the only right option is to prevent the technology from being used at all
No, recording glasses absolutely are awful to have in society, but there are potential good uses of the technology. None that outweigh the downsides, but good uses for it could exist.
For example when you see someone you met before it could pop up a bubble telling you their name, their relationship to you, when you saw them last, previous topics that you've discussed with them, etc. Or when you're following walking directions it could display a green line on the route you're supposed to follow. Or for people with disabilities it could do things like block out visual elements that could trigger a seizure. Etc.
But as i said earlier, all the potential upsides combined don't come close to outweighing all the very awful very real downsides. Just clarifying.
Great point. From a quick websearch it looks like every state is allowed to exempt itself. The few states that opted out did so right near the creation of the daylight saving time law.
I think maybe it comes down to inertia and staying in the herd. No state wants to be the first one to stick their neck out and make a change from the rest of the country all still doing the status quo.
