  • Many of the women who support Trump are also devout Christians. They see Trump as sent by God as a protector and that he's surviving assassination attempts because he's shielded by God himself. They believe Trump is God's shield to protect women and Christians from the world. In many Christian homes, there's already a very clear gender hierarchy with men above women, and many Christian women grow up with it and accept it as God's design. They may also face significant pressure at home to accept Trump no matter his behavior.

    Trump has also really ramped up the religious rhetoric about himself when speaking. He knows the dynamic by now. It's pretty wild.
