  • Here's the thing, though: it could be argued that a brain implant could serve functional purposes -- faster mental math, better memory recollection, faster interfacing with computers that doesn't break one's hands, better control of limbs for amputated peeps or with nerve damage and there's certainly more.

    The reason why I wouldn't touch it are the risks of damage to my brain, the fact that the software and hardware are closed-source in all the products I've heard from, the prices are so high it would create a schism between the rich and the poor, etc

  • In my defense, you got a cut of the slice around the domes, this is actually an instance with more meringue than the recipe called for...

    I'll consider going even further next time, maybe make smaller, tighter packed domes with the same meringue amount or go with yet more meringue. The beauty of that version of the recipe is that the yolks all go in the lemon curd while the whites do the meringue with no waste...
