Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • And all he had to do was hire a competent designer and his product likely would have turned out significantly better.

With each passing day it's amazing to me that the world ever considered this Nazi motherfucker a visionary.

  • I hate to admit it, but you're right.

It's going to take global upheaval to claw power back from the billionaires. They live in a world where they are completely divorced from any kind of public infrastructure, and that wasn't the case the last time this happened in the late 1800's and early 1900's.

  • Everyone with a brain cell predicted this when Flock began to become infamous earlier this year.

If your cameras are "AI-Powered" and collecting billions of data points on people, it's just going to equate to (at least) tens of thousands erroneous identifications due to the limitations of the software.

    And that's unacceptable.

  • Nintendo being anti-consumer is no surprise, but it's nice to see someone tried to hold them to account.

    So glad I personally didn't buy a Switch 2.

  • There's also federated social media. If anyone needs a primer, I made a video on it. No AI. No Ads. Just great communities and human moderation.

  • Yeah, pretty awful on so many different levels.

Brilliant decision to train their models on the worst content to begin with.

  • I'm sure they'll try.

But they forget... VPN's are a thing.

  • This feels like it belongs more in Late Stage Capitalism than Technology. (Crossposted it.)

But yes, kick the billionaires in the dick. A wealth tax is essential.

  • Yeah, but that doesn't make for good clickbait.

And most people who will click on this article don't have a fundamental understanding of the stock market, investing, or why this isn't really that big of a deal.

(Still, however, don't invest in SpaceX. The stock is structured so retail investors don't have meaningful voting rights.)

  • My god it would have been so hard for me to reply to that politely.

Good on you for finding a way to do so.

  • Dang.

I had to scrounge for a video topic last week, and there's so many interesting tech stories this morning that I'm going to be covered for the next month. Bonkers.

Giant space mirrors, and thieves hijacking data center supplies, and now asteroid defense. Awesome.

  • This is an important point, and partly why you're not seeing ads up in the night sky just yet.

  • There's a lot of fuckery afoot as far as space goes. There are even companies trying to get world governments to allow them to put satellites in space so ads can be beamed into the night sky. I made a video about it if anyone's bored.

The good news is that the scientific community fought back hard against it. You never understand how badass astronomers are until you read up on corporations trying to arse themselves into space.

  • The unlocks are coming soon, so I'd expect it to go even lower. If you are going to buy, the dip is what you want for sure.

  • Yeah, I was tempted to make a video about this, but James Dolan is irrationally petty, even with people who don't matter like me. I don't need a billionaire having their assistant ruin my life.

  • Not exactly, no.

  • Or you can dollar cost average your way to a more workable position over time.

In investing patience is a great thing.

  • I wish I knew how to get billions of people to care about anything that actually matters as much as they care about the made-up rules of their imaginary friend club.
