Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • Yup.

I, like you, am expecting this to be a monumental failure, but this shit's normal.

  • We have them in public parks here in my area, and people will park their EV's and just go for a hike or a walk. It's not that complex.

    Delicious.

  • Well, maybe they should have clicked through to the article.

    /s

  • I did.

The title of the article is 'Microsoft is disabling Office 2019 for Mac next month', which makes it pretty clear that the editorializing of the title here on Lemmy was intended to be a bit dickish, at least to me.

If I am wrong, cool, but it's not because I didn't look at the article.

  • I read it as someone kinda being a dick, but it's the Internet. Meaning isn't always well-conveyed electronically. That's why we have the sarcasm tag.

  • I'm not sure I'm cool with calling people 'idiots' in this scenario. We don't blame the victims of con men when they're stolen from, and this is the same thing, just on a bigger scale.

That said, here is the obligatory linking to LibreOffice: https://www.libreoffice.org/

It's free and a better choice.

  • Yeah, the presentation is a tad dystopian.

Still an eminently cool breakthrough, though I've read that BCI's are hackable and that notion sounds pretty scary.

  • I would take gel deodorant and put it on all of the door handles.

  • You're doing great, Mocha!

  • You can joke about it, but European regulators in the tech space are doing important work that rolls downhill to much of the world.

It sounds like a very good thing to me that Europe is maybe going to force Tesla disclosures and/or force them to work out the bugs in their tech.

  • I hope the people making decisions at Dell all get ass cancer.

  • He'll try, but it's not going to matter.

The only positive election news Donald has had has been the Republican primaries. His candidates have lost nearly every election in 2025 and 2026 and if the Blue MAGA party is still up 14% in November like they are right now, it'll be too overwhelming a response to rig.

For me, the truly worrying development was the Blue MAGA governor in Colorado pardoning a literal traitor who tried to help them rig an election. That she got off scot-free means others will, and that it's a simple matter of getting dirt on the right people at the right time.

  • This is what happened: 100%.

Donald wanted another distraction from the Epstein files and he got one. Another little bit of script for his reality show presidency.

  • You couldn't pay me to drive a Tesla, and that's doubly true for Tesla on "autopilot".

  • Live and let live.

I only care about other people in so far as their habits are disruptive to other people's peace.

  • That's a fun fact.

  • I am looking at a god.

    Clearly.

  • The only upside I can think of is that financial instituoms have much better fraud detection these days.

I actually had to call my credit card company and go through a four-question verification in order to buy my new scooter a week ago.

Still, don't let LLM's make decisions for you.
