Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • Civilization has collapsed several times. So has climate.

None if this is new. It only seems that way because people don't read history books.

  • The whole country just lies down and accepts the decline into authoritarianism.

Objectively untrue and demonstrated in LA, Portland, Minnesota, and Chicago. Even better, it was demonstrated in bipartisan fashion. People who voted red were part of the silent sabotage that took place in Chicago and Minnesota.

And then there's all the attempts by people to delete Donald too.

The country is doing what it can and also trying not to descend into chaos and survive at the same time.

  • All Quiet on the Western Front, specifically the 2022 Netflix version.

It's one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen in terms of its cinematography, which kinda just feels wrong given the subject matter.

  • No.

Our species has endured much worse than this.

  • Your lack of scruples cost you the election, motherfucker.

  • This is a weird move for A24.

I have to imagine that the vast majority of A24 enthusiasts are analog people who like art that was created organically rather than stolen.

  • I imagine it to be not unlike a system snapshot of a computer, just of your brain and the data your mind contains, thus making every experience accessible like a computer file in additional to all of the recorded data that exists online.

As for a mortal body, if my second prediction is correct, you wouldn't need it anymore. Perhaps those who upload could donate their bodies to those who choose not to. That would be nice.

  • I think humanity will achieve digital immortality and might achieve a form of physical immortality by uploading themselves into artificial bodies.

And I'll 100% sign up for it if it becomes possible.

  • Best of luck to you. I'm in a similar boat, but thankful I have a good job I don't dread that makes an effort to take good care of me. I'm on track to retire in my 50's, but if my investments do better than expected and I hit my number earlier, I'm out.

But I've also never understood why anyone works longer than they need to if they have the means to live comfortably in the first place.

  • Yeah, I know. It'll almost certainly be a quick, real-time crash that the Signal chatters in Washington had advanced warning about, and retail investors will listen to Jim Cramer telling them to keep investing and lose their hats in the process.

  • There have been several micro-crashes. There was one last autumn in the crypto space.

Hopefully regular people are given enough time when the bubble pops to maneuver, but there's no guarantee. I'm just assuming there will be a coordinated effort among the Epstein Class when the crash becomes inevitable and they'll exploit it while most retail investors lose everything.

  • Metaverse - still one of the best jokes around

This one I slightly disagree with. I got my headset on a black friday and it was super cheap, but VR documentaries are friggin' amazing and I hope museums will invest heavily in it in the coming years.

Fully autonomous self driving cars - “Just around the corner” for the past 10 years

Definitely. Makes me feel good for people who make their living driving trucks.

  • One of the people I follow posted about something similar on Mastodon yesterday. They happened to be on the same plane as someone who was speaking at a climate conference they were attending, and they saw the person through gap in the seat working on their remarks and using ChatGPT in order to do it.

    Sad stuff.

  • While I wouldn't recommend investing in SpaceX (or any company contingent on Elon Musk's wild claims, which often prove to be unfounded), investing in general is volatile and share prices fluctuate daily.

What's wild is that SpaceX' satellite Internet product is actually really good, but the valuation of this company is insane and that retail investors have no voting rights is a huge red flag, and therefore it's important to stay the fuck away.

  • Yup. This is, in part, why I leave some of my mistakes in my videos. That's the easiest way to prove to people that my content isn't AI without arguing about it.

  • Oh yeah.

I'm in my 40's but look like I'm in my late 20's or early 30's and that's always what people guess when the issue comes up. Thankfully, I feel like I'm in my 30's still too.

The only downer is my hair is starting to gray, so in 5 years or so I'm going to be more of a silver fox. :D

  • Definitely. 🤟😎

  • Yup. That's all it is for me too.
