Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.

I'm single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.

ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.

Also, I refuse to use Donald's last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

  • The weight of experience.

The heartbreaks, failures, disappointments, and losses you experience in your youth accrue and do permanent damage over time. Also, everything you loved in your youth will be unrecognizably different or gone completely within 20-30 years. (Which is why I recommend people get in the habit of journaling.)

Also, you won't digest food as well as you age and your digestion's going to get weird.

  • OP, this is probably more suitable for 'Off My Chest'.

  • Zuck had one good idea and it was literally stolen.

  • This bait-and-switch bullshit has gone way too far and I hope the few dozen socialists that get elected this fall really wreck this shit for the billionaires and force regulation.

  • Welcome to the PC Master Race, friends.

It's warm, cozy, and you don't have to drag yourself to a GameStop if you don't want to.

  • It's an interesting point.

I would assume, personally, given that the Biden admin and Trump I admin were staffed with actual serious people, that there were more guardrails and oversight and Alex Karp had to be better behaved in his business operations. The billionaires, however, are running the asylum now, and there are absolutely no guardrails.

In 10-20 years, when Donald is gone and people feel safe to write books about what's actually happening right now, it's going to make for interesting and enlightening reading.

  • This is another good time to remind you all about O&O ShutUp. which will help you turn off all of Windows' invasive features and delete Copilot if you're stuck using Windows.

  • Olympus just gained another furry god. RIP.

  • Didn't buy 4. Didn't buy 5. Didn't buy 6.

My ASUS handles any gaming needs that my Acer can't, and my Acer has Linux and handles everything else.

Sony can eat my whole ass with the price gouging.

  • They look like very well-mannered and lovely Austrian kitties. <3

  • Also, the Red Lady has since been found to be a young man and not a lady. The assumption was made that the skeleton was of a woman due to some of the objects found with it, which were assumed to be bodily decorations.

  • Hell yeah. :)

  • It's not bad. Feels very familiar and I've found a few people who got very creative with it.

  • It's a bummer that something like this even has to be enforced.

  • I got my $8 from the FB Privacy Lawsuit yesterday.

    Gonna spend it on booze.

  • For me personally about 30% of my video game library, which don't function even with the various compatibility tools.

But when I started my YouTube channel I was using Openshot, which does not work on Linux, or at least it didn't for me. My old Lenovo Legion was largely incompatible with Linux too, as I tried a dual-boot with two different distros and still had to debug it all the time. (Thankfully not a problem on the Acer that replaced it.)

Linux is great, but it's not yet compatible with everything.

  • Oh yeah. Thank you for sharing.

I've heard of those two as well, but even so, there's a lot written about in the book that I never learned, even through the earning of my bachelors degree, which is why I'm always quick to recommend that people read it.

  • I'm glad you can have a Windows-free existence.

Some things just don't function well on Linux, but there are lots of us who are 99% Linux and don't use Windows unless we have to.

  • Facts.

I quit drinking soda this month because the off-brand soda I like inexplicably stop being sold by every store in the area, probably due to the Iran War, and RC Cola, Pepsi, and Coke all cost the same gouged prices. I could just take the price gouging and buy them anyway, but I'd rather quit consuming it out of spite.

That it's healthier is just a side bonus.

  • Here in KC news just came out that there's a public hearing on a proposed data center in downtown Kansas City on August 5th.

City Council here apparently really, really don't want to get reelected.
