  • What problem does it create? Its a good tech and we absolutely should be cryptographically verifying the boot process to ensure it hasnt been tampered with.

  • An hour a day. On the bus to and from work. To work I do nothing but think and on the way home I usually read my book. Otherwise im constantly on a computer or being interrupted by one.

  • They're everywhere here. I thought they were for added grip

  • End to end system latency on a good system is around 15-30ms. I'm saying that I can absolutely tell the difference between end to end system latency of 15-30ms and 60-75ms. Its pointed out and noticed constantly by players and reviewers its one of the biggest strikes against dlss and other framegen. The 100ms network example was an extreme one to highlight that its noticeable even though its "only a blink of an eye".

If any part of the stack increases input latency it quickly degrades the experience. Lucky 10ms on an already very efficient system does not make Wayland a deal breaker but if that was 30ms difference it would be.

  • Yeah but to say humans can't do this when humans doing it were what provided it the data is a dumb statement. Humans classified the data so that AI could learn you wouldnt say humans can't classify data.

  • Blinking has no relationship with input latency. Its not speculation people who play games universally agree that latency is noticeable. Put some on a game at a lan then put them in an online match at 140ms and you won't find a single person who doesnt notice.

  • Wtf no 100ms is absolutely unacceptable. Anything over 30 ms becomes easily noticeable. You can feel the difference between preformance dlss (30ms added latency) and 60 on quality. 10ms difference is whatever but its one part of a stack and it can compound if every part of the stack neglects latency optimisation

  • How could that even be true since it was humans thay trained ai. What a dumb statement ahh

  • I am mistaken an incorrect then. I'll have to try it out one of these days.

  • apple sells ram at double market rate in the cheapest of times

  • So the matrix protocol doesnt have voice like I thought.

  • Do you remember if its happened in the past 2 years? A patch windows put out in 2024 is supposed to fix this.

  • So voice is done via a different software not matrix?

  • I have not seen a matrix voice channel ever in any of the servers ive seen. Also using element.

  • Dual booting us viable, if you're curious its good to try linux via dual boot. Windows doesnt break the linux bootloader. The incident referencing was a bug I believe. I know plenty of people who've been dual booting for 2+ years keeping both OSs up to date with no issue.

  • I got a galaxy s10. I can root it I think. Can I put graphine on it?

  • phones. I just fucken hate em. Until I can get my hands on a graphineOS pixel I will just feel like I have a spy device in my pocket. So now I just have a 6 year old one that is mostly offline playing local music and watching/listening to videos from grayjay. Once this device is dead I will have to look at getting a new one and im really not looking forward to it. I never use calling and i only use txt to receive spam and 2fa spam. Kinda want something like the mechaComet instead of a phone.

  • Biden tried to get this passed but it got blocked by a federal court
