  • I used to get so mad when I'd see a book get made into a movie or picture book and it was always a very realistic interpretations of the world and in my head it was far more extreme and colorful. I remember seeing the drawings for 'a far away tree' and thinking wtf it's not just a regular tree it's supposed to be magical.

  • net still works fine. The apps have gotten worse, there is much more annoying patterns, the people have gotten much more bitter as a lot of the people on there are the leftovers. But you still find interesting people and if you're open to actually looking at people then you can turn a biter person back into a normal person.

    But yeah its pretty competitive, I feel like guys have begun to level up their game and they now dress nice, shower and take good photos so you cant get ahead just by doing the basics anymore.

  • No difference, they mean whatever I need them to mean when I choose to use them. Its weird how language can convey different meanings depending on the context to the point where the word itself doesnt really matter.

  • Depends heavily on the parents. I had a few cousins who were home schooled for primary school so up until 10yr and they were 100% different to interact with and at the time I thought they were nerdy. But looking back it was because they were better socially developed and more mature than my friends and I. They were far more polite to kids (we were all polite to adults), smarter on topics we learnt in school (they didnt know about stuff like fighting and stealing from the local dairy and couldnt even ride a bike or swim) and more empathetic because they spent most of their time interacting with adults who'd correct bad behaviors while my friends and I would be socializing with kids unsupervised for most of the day.

    But we all turned out fine and had good upbringings.

  • Its not needed. The elections will swing back and people and the politicans are hungry for reform. Things are bad in the US but day to day is still the same for the average person. Conditions would need to get much much worse for people to consider that.

  • No im not missing the point you just arent understanding the process before digital and after.

    The border guard doesnt just check you passport and move you along. They document your arrival and store it. They usually photocopy your passport and take a finger print. You have to register and provide a ton of info when traveling to another country it was never a private matter.
