  • That price at Staples was definitely the highest price. Noticed it while I was in the checkout lane, I just purchased the same batteries for that $5.89 price since I figured that was a already a deal since my last pack was $10 and noticed them at $15 at Walmart last week which it still looks to be that price online for pickup there.

  • I'll have to check this next time I go to the grocery store. I did notice ground pork went up by another $1 per lb last week during a price cycle. It was still on sale at my closest store so bought more to freeze. Ground beef has gone up so much they're brought out the big rolls of the 73/27 stuff from the freezers to the fridge section and most the store packed stuff looked bad as if no one was buying when I was there 2 days ago

  • Thank you for this. I set it up a couple days ago, prefer morning brews newsletters there vs my email so much better even though most the features don't work. The Elements are ad pmacements anyways the text and links are what matters

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world

Anyone else noticing a large spread in prices recently on certain products that are being restocked?

  • I'm using Feeder on android at the moment. No issues so far

    Anyone else use RSS?

  • VLC for video MediaMonkey for audio

Neither have ever failed me unless the files themselves have errors, then that's beyond their control

  • Good catch

  • Bluesky users really seem to not understand what the platform actually is, coming from a user myself that actually enjoys it. You already have the ability to adjust your feeds as well as create your own and use some made by others so no need to use the optional app. Most of those feeds are publicity editable too so you can change what others users see in their "For You" feed. It's probably the most transparent around while also being pretty easy to hijack what someone sees if they think it's just some standard social media site of 5 years ago. Added some screenshots of oen of the sites that shows the public info of what is in different People's for you page

  • GOOD. Bubble grew a bigger hole letting the air out. Disney removed their $1B investment so let's hope more do too in the near future to keep ripping that hole wider, yes.

  • Apparently this has been going on for a while but The Verge started sounding the alarm 3 months ago. They know most people won't read more than a couple sentences past a headline if they even open the article at all. Confirmation bias is about to go wild

  • The mid 2010s. I miss my old LG G5, the ability to customize the hardware with the USB c port and hesdphone jack being a simple replacement was a gamechanger for me. The LG G6 was a downgrade from nearly all the features of it's papa besides the better internal chip and camera but you still lost all manual control button use with the upgrade sicne that was an attachment mod as well as the DAC.

  • Self defense in middle school. I was awkward for at least 2 years due to some life events (bipolar mom that kicked me out of not being g perfect in school, forced to move with dad that did not know how to psrent and didn't finish middle school himself) Great in class but it took a while to start interacting with all the new people I'm meeting. Ended up leading to a few fights from some of them associated with a gang and police were involved since it was "zero tolerance" never got charged since the teachers would request the footage so I wouldn't get charged for the mess but it was stressful. High school was with the same kids, at least half of them didn't graduate

  • As the pre-made version yes. It's available as the concentrate in glass jars, so you can mix it with your own seltzer as more of a "fresh" carbonated soda

  • Ayy a local that's here on Lemmy gotta love it. Was actually going to mention Boost! from south Jersey. I've seen it randomly in store while I was down in Florida in a neighborhood nearby that was full of the retired Jersey shore residents that come down for the winter. Its not something I'd personally drink but know a good amount of people that love it. Probably never took off since the name is the exact same as the protein drink while being a complete opposite lol

For those unaware it's an OG soda from over 100 years ago. Soda pharmacies and diners were THE hang out spots in rural South Jersey back then and the roots still remain:

What's the deal with South Jersey's BOOST! beverage?

  • Got a Moto G Stylus about a month ago, great phone so far. Selling point for me was the micro sd card slot and the headphone jack but it seems so far as an overall great device. Only issue I've come across is the light sensor takes a bit to let it focus when scanning or codes, which is something I do daily but is an extra like 5 seconds per scan attempt compared to my Samsung S22 ultra, which got replaced since it can only charge wireless now

  • I feel like nearly every Netflix original I've saw in the last few years at friends houses feel like they're made for middle schoolers with the story devolopment and over explaining what they're doing/about to do on screen as if we can't see them
