  • Okay, and? Why talk about it? You think Iran isn't desperate enough to do the things they claim they can do?

  • Why would Iran still be talking about all of this nonsense if they actually had the capability of any of it?

  • No internet.

I'm normally very progressive, but I think we've collected enough data to know for sure that the internet has no good outcomes on children's development. Furthermore, I don't want devices spying on children, so any device that eventually connects to the internet is also a nono unless it's been given an open source operating system and software or completely lacks the ability to record video, audio, or scan for additional devices.

  • I'm not convinced. Its got light, dirt, plants, rain. Even if I were to agree that the Greenhouse is an indoor space then it's not like I tunnel into it from a secret passageway to get in.

  • You think I keep a greenhouse indoors? Man, no offense, but I think you legitimately do need to touch more grass and see the outside world a bit.

  • People on here tell me to Touch Grass if I don't worship their favorite influencer or politician, but I'm literally an amateur botanist. I touched more types of grass last year than they'd touch in 10 lifetimes.

  • “It seems that these references were generated and attached to the document after the fact, as they are not cited in the body of the text.

“In addition to implementing precautionary suspensions, the department has appointed two independent law firms to respectively manage the disciplinary process and review all policy documents produced by the department dating back to 30 November 2022,” DHA stated.

If this were a University I would expect these two to be expelled and receive no credits for the entire semester. References are important for anti-plagiarism, proof of work, and documentation of evidence to support the article. I would argue it is the most important part of a document.

  • No shit

^this is TikTok cocksucking for Trump BEFORE the ban was implemented for him saving them from it, which he hadn't done yet.

They had even turned off services voluntarily right before the election so people would blame Biden for it.

  • It would have been very slightly funnier if he had said "take me out on a date" because then he could be considered to be taken out like the trash.

  • TBF, historically most nations allow "temporary" storage of spent nuclear fuel cells in perpetually filled pools or running water, which have the potential to run out and cause a nuclear apocalypse via irradiating everything on the surface of the earth. Currently millions of spent rods are stored "temporarily" in such pools which all together contain as much Cesium-137 as 30 Chernobyls in the USA alone.

It gets talked about a lot in "what if" scenarios about human extinction, because if Humanity died out then those pools will dry up and everything else will die alongside us.

  • Beavers in captivity will dam over a speaker which makes the sound of running water, which researches then tested extensively to prove Beavers' instinct to dam is triggered by the urge to make the sound of running water stop.

I like to imagine the beaver's ancestor was a really big neuroatypical rat who one day was like "I hate this sound and will throw sticks at it until it stops.

  • The reason he requested was because he saw this dude do that to 8 consequtive people in live combat just before.

    Fuckin smurfs, man.

  • Well, alternatively the leftist German parties could have formed a coalition in any of the three elections before the Nazis took power, instead of refusing to work with each other to the point of an absent government.

  • Ironically, people who fear the way things were before the Trump admin are not at all likely to remove Fascism from power.

  • AI is bad for all industries. It just regurgitates jumbled up words and phrases. At best it's a liability which produces sub-human level of work with no regard for morality or consequences, and at worst it will send your company into bankruptcy and ruin your reputation for as long as you live.

There are three valid use cases for AI with few drawbacks:

    1. Misinforming a large number of people on social media
    2. Flooding online places with slop in order to prevent people from seeing real information, such as covering up political or financial scandals
    3. Making funny AI Cover Songs by Quagmire, Peridot, and/or Squidward

For everything else, you will lose more than you gain.
