  • Thanks to Beijing's TikTok psyop theres a brand new generation of fascists from the USA to Germany.

  • Democrats are plenty progressive, Mamdani's policy stances are pretty normal, but without state and federal majorities we're not gonna see fuck all for change.

  • The DNC has been pretty progressive for about 16 years.

  • TBF he's renegged on a lot of his plans and watered down all of his enacted ones.

    Pretty normal for the DNC.

  • Fun fact, the DNC have had 48 or less senators for over 13 years, but I agree that the many social, foreign affairs, and fiscal accomplishments of the DNC go vastly underreported.

  • The DNC official platform document says it wants to:

    1. Tax the Rich
    2. Remove citizens united
    3. Make voting easier
    4. Prevent climate disaster
    5. Protect forests
    6. Give everyone food and medical and expand affordable housing and transport

So, I mean, they understand what I am angry about. Only policy I wish they were better about would be dropping support of Israel but even on that they are infinitely better than GOP policy.

  • I disagree that Bernie wasn't given a fair shot. He was invited to participate in the DNC primary, despite his third party status, and lost by millions to Hillary, and again when Biden doubled Bernies votes. Both times Bernie lost he asked us to vote for the winner. I think a lot of such sentiment was drummed up by foreign interference in order to create discord and aid the conservatives.

  • They demonstrably did not have a supermajority because they could not pass the original ACA during the less than 80 days in session.

  • The Caucus had 60 votes to pass the watered down ACA. The DNC had 58. Two independent senators were needed to pass it.

The DNC have not had 60 senators since 1979 anf have had 48 or less for over 13 years.

  • Nope, for 72 days in session under Obama the DNC had 58. Which is why an Independent Joe Leiberman fucked us all over by denying us public option healthcare.

  • Actually, the DNC didn't. They only had 58. Which is why the ACA version we got was watered down from the original Public Option identical to Germany healthcare.

  • In case any readers are unaware, intersex is a physical condition that one can be born with due to a rare and interesting expression of genetic information.

It can be barely noticeable in some and in others it can result in the development of sexual organs from both sexes.

It is a completely natural phenomenon and not a choice of the individual (which is also the case for trans in my opinion, but even if somebody did choose it I wouldn't judge that).

  • I just hope they're angry enough with the GOP to realize its time to give the DNC supermajority for the first time since 1979.

  • The other day somebody asked me a question and I couldn't be bothered to deal with them, but later on I decided to answer in earnest and deleted the previous response.

  • Look, if we had a multiple millenia year old cure for cancer that the majority of doctors say works and I've seen work myself, then I would be skeptical of science saying it doesn't.

Rather, you appear to me more akin to an anti-vaxxer that "did their research".

  • You're arguing with the established methods used to train dogs for centuries. Good luck with your dog training revolution.

  • This is vwry basic, tried and true, dog training exercise. Trust comes from protecting and feeding the animal, not from randon dopamine spikes.

  • Most dogs associate the sensation of being pet with how their family licks them clean. The thought of using paws to return pets is unlikely.

If you want to break a dog's habbit of jumping up, pawing at you, or getting overly excited at your return: ignore them. Do not pet them when you walk in the door. Do not give them any form of validation for several minutes, perhaps after they lay down.

  • Gonna collect all kinds of dust and grime.
