  • When I try to point it at my server, I'm prompted with a page saying it's only possible in the paid tier

  • Apparently only for appletv, for iOS there are no issues.

  • So this post is just you self-promoting your proprietary platform in hopes of getting people to use it?

  • You thinking I'm a jerk doesn't change the fact that the appletv app is a burning pile of dog crap. My opinion is that they should actively work on it, the lacking quality and functionality is just fact.

  • Are you this shitty to people who submit pull requests to your dog-shit bug-ridden open-source software repos? Do you even have anything that's open-source that tries to solve a problem?

Of course, obviously I am the only infallible person in the universe...scrub

  • Dude no one is forcing them to work on the project, they can just ditch it if they don't want to do it anymore. Just because it's free people are still allowed to voice opinions on the project, sure my comment is tongue in cheek, no one cares...welcome to the internet, is this your first day?

  • Yeah it doesn't work with your own media server on the free tier, so they can go fuck themselves.

  • My server works fine with all other clients though, except the appletv one. In the appletv app I cannot change audio language or reliably change subs. Or, technically I can, it just doesn't select the language I actually choose, it chooses some random one. This only happens on appletv app, it works as intended on all other devices, both android, iOS, browsers and MS/Linux clients.

  • Ok, now fix the shitty client on appletv...

  • How do you selfhost Wikipedia? Any good guides in how to do it?

  • I have never heard of it before, but for me it wouldn't have made sense to make an intermediary step between tinkercad and actual CAD software. Granted I've only spent very little time in tinkercad, I've always found it frustratingly lacking and infuriating to work with. Maybe it's good to get kids into designing 3D shapes, but designing anything useful was too much of a nuisance when I tried. If mattercad is anything resembling tinkercad, I can definitely see why it hasn't picked up more traction.

  • It was the same when movies started getting released in 1080p back in the day, it just looked weird

  • No, not really. "2K" is 2560x1440 resolution, it's almost twice the pixel density for similar sized monitors.

  • Probably not, I've seen reviews online (after I bought it) that complains about it only printing matte at lower temperatures but then is isn't possible to print fast anymore.

  • This is the only PETG I've ever had this issue with, normally I can just store them with dessicant and it's fine.

Right now RH is fairly low around 30-40% because it's cold and winter, summer its usually around 60-80% here.

  • They do state it is more hygroscopic than normal PETG due to additives that allow the fast printing, but this is still significantly worse than I ever expected. I also didn't expect to need to dry it for two days after unwrapping it just to print with it.

  • Its Sunlu HS PETG, relative humidity is a little under 40% in the room (around 25% in the storage box), there's probably about 60-70cm from dryer to extruder. I already purged a good amount before starting the print, but apparently not enough.

  • Unfortunately it needs a safety cage around the bottom end

Only if you're a scared little bitch /s

  • I have an old v6 hotend with about 2500h of print time on it, looking pretty dirty too, but I have no issues with heat creep. I also don't think that what you show should be causing heat creep, but giving things a good thorough cleaning occasionally is never a bad idea.
