  • Why the hate on WFH? You get to do your regular job, but in the comfort of your own home and the added benefit of not spending time on transport to/from the office.

  • Files

    Jump
  • What are you looking to print and for what purpose?

  • It seems to help reduce warping in general for ASA in my experience. I haven't done a deeper investigation to collect actual data, but anecdotally I seem to have way less issues with large ASA prints warping since I started using it.

  • Yeah we don't do that in my native language either...but here we are using English

  • If the uplink bandwidth is more than sufficient for users in Europe, and it doesn't degrade over distance, then why is the same uplink not enough for the exact same thing in Asia?

  • Aah...Polish then, not polish

  • Like nail polish?

  • I saw an article where they experimented with the AIs that steer these things: it's basically enough to hold a sign that tells it what to do

So it is able to follow directions from traffic signs when it sees them...IDK, seems more intelligent than a significant portion of human drivers out there /s

  • I've had good results with reversing print-direction on odd layers but for all layers, not just for overhangs.

  • There are not really any similarities to the environment and use case of autonomous cars driving in open public roads, at high speeds, in a several thousand pound heavy vehicle, with thousands of other people acting in random unpredictable ways, and a 50 pound snow blower driving at walking pace in your own private closed driveway with basically no one in the area of operation.

  • There's like a 1" gap in the grate and at least 3-4" from there to any moving parts. Yes, a toddler can stick their arms in there, but if that happens it will be predominantly due to horrible parenting.

It obviously isn't 100% hazard free, it's a motorized power tool after all, but it does seem to have proper mitigations in place to reduce risk of injury to a reasonable level.

  • A grate that lets wet snow in is also going to be big enough to let rocks and other debris in.

But not kids and pets at leaat

  • If you go the the manufacturers website it mentions several safety systems; radar, camera and a physical bumper and grate to keep things from getting into the machine

  • I need impact resistance, but more rigidity than TPU can offer.

  • Oh god no, why would you ever want to do that? Then you have cats in your home, objectively the dumbest and most annoying pet ever.

Edit: or chucking them inside someone else's home because you hate the residents there? Then yes, totally do that.

  • Oh, so NASA os not qctually a government agency? Neat...when did they separate out from the government, I must have missed that

  • Yes, go work for the shithead nazi government instead of the shithead nazi private company...

  • it is amateurish. That's what I'm going for though.

Their answer to the other comment regarding the website strongly suggests it is their site
