  • Yes bright flashing RGB lights are generally a juvenile thing...

  • Ugh...RBG lights are not a "gamer thing", its a child thing. Grown people are gamers too, they (the ones in my circle at least) don't have RGB lights in anything anymore. We all did when we were kids 20 years ago though.

  • Where's the heresy?

  • It's not just an issue with incorrect meta data. It will also just flat out refuse to import files if you're not 100% compliant with what seems like a strict hardcoded folder structure and naming. It will also mess up your manually fetched metadata and any manual adjustments you've made if you need to update the library. And don't even get me started on how it handles chapters in some audiobooks, JFC it can be a shitshow.

I don't know of a better solution though, so I'm living with it, but it's a very "hand carried" solution, and were it not for my kids I would rather just have the files directly on my own device with a local player and don't have the hassle. I wish it would work better like the *arr stack and jellyfin.

  • I've found it really annoying to deal with because it is ridiculously picky about how you structure your audiobooks and name the files. If you don't get it exactly how it wants it, it fucks up imports.

  • FWIW this monitoring is only during the written exams (relies on installation of a specific software, that you can just remove again), and it's the school doing the monitoring not the government.

Edit: they also encourage schools to give pupils better conditions and more time for making written assignment at school where there can be both help and supervision, instead of at home.

  • I wonder how long until destruction or removal of these will be considered an act of domestic terrorism...

  • all butterflies are just moths that fly in the daytime

I mean, that's just plain wrong though.

  • The downside is that you need to have the app installed on both devices ahead of time, if I understood it correctly.

You did not. It's a web application, it even says so in the snippet you used for the post. It runs directly in the browser, no need to install anything.

  • You're 100% correct that they suck.

These cookies are like the shittiest cookies you'd serve to someone in Denmark. They're for when you have to put something on the table but kind of don't want to, so you go for the cheap and easy option.

Baking them yourself is better, but they're still bland and boring.

  • Yeah, got your back kicking you in the nuts...

  • I dont think she's old enough to be affected by thalidomide, it was discontinued from use in the 60's

Edit: I did a quick search and it turns out i am wrong. it was removed from Europe on the 60's bit is still in use today for some treatments. But with the known affect on developing fetuses, it's probably not used much (or at all) in pregnant women.

  • How the fuck you gonna have hands if you don't have arms?

    Like this

  • Can you 3D print trimmer line? Yes you can and not only does it kind of work; after drying the material for a night, it performs better than I ever imagined! Printability is excellent even working at temperatures that Bowden hotends could handle, and quality is awesome. Material strength is similar to what I've seen in the past with other Nylons with decent layer adhesion and impressive impact strength.

Well I'll be damned...that's pretty neat.

Also, it's a good and thorough article (as always with Stefan), so worth a read for anyone interested in doing this.
