  • You’re a flame retardant.

  • This was obvious the moment that the US ramped up its blockade to deprive Cuba of energy. The plan is to destroy Cuban society. The indictment of Raul Castro is an excuse for more kidnappings or a decapitation strike targeting Cuban leadership.

The US has managed to split Cuba from its allies through threats and bullying and the kidnapping of Venezuela’s president. Mexico stopped trading with Cuba months ago, even though it’s also on the chopping block (as the US has repeatedly threatened to invade Mexico under the guise of a drug war). Cuba has wasted the last 60 years exporting doctors and peacefully making diplomatic relations, when they should have been developing nuclear weapons.

If Latin America wants peace, they should draw up defensive treaties, move as a block and stand up to the US. Had Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, and Cuba created such a military block they would be at war with the US (which is targeting leaders from all of these countries), but they would have the empire fighting on all fronts in an overt war, vs being picked off individually as they are now. Everyone stands aside, hoping they won’t be next. The US has proven that it plans to make every single country in Latin America a US puppet. There’s no negotiating with this sort of terrorism.

  • SK Hynix or Micron are paying better, which is why a strike was threatened. Also, Samsung workers were worried about varying pay rates between different product lines within the company. Those were the 2 reasons.

  • One thing that academic (not for profit) ai researchers understand is that computers cannot make management decisions, as a computer cannot take responsibility when things go wrong the way a person can. This is already an issue for traffic violations for “self driving” cars piloted by foreign labor overseas.

  • Compared with the median worker in Korea, sure. They’re getting 5-10 years salary.

Compared with peers in the same industry, they’re behind economically. But they’re ok with that, as AI is a bubble and this kind of money is only here for a couple years at most. Besides, the money-motivated can always get a job at another competitor down the line.

  • If this guy didn’t move to Israel would I want to hear what he had to say? I mean, in what sense could I imagine a person interested in equality under the law moving to an apartheid state?

  • Truly a marvel of commerce that manifested from the dense cities of Japan.

  • It literally looks too cool not to use.

  • His is why digital ID is bad.

  • Why hello, Project Gutenberg. Has your collection grown or are you just happy to see me?

  • The naked greed this man has shown over the course of this scam he’s running has been incredible. I would be surprised he doesn’t wind up in jail.

  • They really replaced garbage with garbage by going from ChromeOS to this.

  • The Ayatollah was Iran’s Chief Islamic Judge. The US also gives judges at the highest levels lifetime appointments. This is basic stuff . How ignorant are you to not know any of this?

Plus I noticed you completely sidestepped the issue of Israel’s genocide, even though they’re the country that pulled us into this mess of a war.

  • Your comment would be more convincing if you laid out the complex idea you’re alluding to, instead of saying that a simple example is all people need.

As far as I can tell, thought scientists stay losing, because pretending your thoughts comprise a form of science that ends in a measurable result is sophistry.

  • Iran is the lesser evil in this war. They’re a democratic society that refuses to engage in genocide. By comparison the US is a democracy currently aiding Israel in genocide.

  • Phone as payment is the real hurdle.

A Steam Deck could be used to call and text. It’s all the digital ID encroachment that’s keeping people from ditching mainstream operating systems.

  • This what all body cams are actually for. They’re surveillance tools used to monitor the public, similar to street cameras.

  • It means Iran is winning by controlling the Straight of Hormuz.

It means things will continue to get worse until the United States and Iran come to an agreement.

The Iranians have said the war will end on their terms. So far they’ve been right, as the US refuses to accept their terms and they continue to control the Straight.

  • Every time they make a change, users shift/leave. I now use Chrome instead of the app. Once they block it on chrome to force people back to their enshittified app, then I just won’t use it anymore.
