  • In China they have cushy prisons for corrupt politicians. The US needs to begin taking a similar tactic of threatening these people with extreme punishment (in China it’s an automatic death sentence, often commuted to life) and putting them prison.

China still has less prisoners than the US, even though they’re harsh on political malfeasance and have a population 5 times that of the United States. We would be a more democratic society if the president could be put in prison.

  • Glad to hear that one day DHS might be sued for keeping all this data on critics of ICE, which you and I are not. 😉

  • Poland rarely makes the news in the US, so learning they have an economy the size of Japan is pretty interesting. Maybe moving to Poland will become the next Millennial meme.

  • They’re wsting money and bombs on a proxy conflict that will never yield any sort of advantage. Hopeless.

  • It’s not a good truck or a good vehicle, but it is able to let you pretend you are in Mad Max.

  • I hadn’t heard of their company culture until recently, but as long as they’re being reviewed positively, then they’re not going to lose customers. I don’t personally own one of their printers, nor do I plan to, but online reviews are what moves units.

  • Their first pivot was trying to get their investors to buy them a chip manufacturing plant. That failed spectacularly. Now they want to sell phones? Just the market testing should kill that.

Clearly investors for tech startups are all illiterate and love burning money, but this AI craze is worse than crypto. At least that was open and blatant fraud with high returns. This is just burning money until the economy keels over.

  • After they sell them, they can bet against their own product, double dipping on their failing portfolios.

  • Zuckerberg seems to be on a losing streak: from the Metaverse tanking, to the Meta Ray-Ban glasses being used to spy on people (and train Ai), and this lawsuit on copyright infringement. When was the last time any of his companies had a win? Every time they seem to steal defeat from any sort of victory.

  • They actually want to avoid the liability of storing someone’s id.

The government wants to make these things illegal, but they also want to track every person on the internet through their government ID, so they create the problem (age restriction and id checks) because they have the planned solution: digital id for every computer!

Do you have your computer license? Do you? You think the internet is a psy-op and Big Brother’s watching you? Just wait until a government admin message pops up on your screen because you visited the wrong website.

You’re getting fined for spreading misinformation or receiving a letter for libel due to some offhand tweet about some famous person. Don’t worry about receiving a notice in the mail, if you have a printer they’ll make it print your ticket for you immediately.

  • Thank you. I love reading about Miyawaki forests!

  • We should let them fail and be happy that home lab users will be getting a massive discount.

Also, crypto will be back as those people use similar resources. So crypto will be cheaper to mine. Hard to say if that will make it worth more or less. Crypto’s its own ponzi scheme waiting to collapse.

  • Could be a per year situation.

  • That’s not good.

  • You’re telling me I get to experience the joy of this headline more than once?

  • That’s just cause & effect.

Are things going to keep getting worse? Probably.

Do you need to vote if that’s the case? Not really, but it’s an external locus of control. You feel you have power because you got to choose who made things worse.

  • I voted for Biden and things did indeed get worse. Now we see that Trump was voted in and they are getting worse. Soon we will vote in a new Congress and then a new President and things will continue to get worse.

Thankfully I stopped voting after Biden, so my bad luck 🍀 has peaked.

PSA to all the “voters” out there. I no longer worry about politics because I know that things can only get worse. 😎

  • I appreciate you answering my question.

  • Lmao 😂 was he with a woman or a man? Or does he just treat town hall as his home when nobody’s looking,
