A little of many, and a lot of a few.Probably pretty similar to you.

  • The other thing is that by not eating, your stomach will shrink. Pretty fast too, within a week of eating less your stomach will become smaller and it will become easier to feel full.

  • Personally Ive never been able to lose weight except by eating less. Lost 8 pounds backpacking in 5 days once though, was probably atleast a 2k calorie deficit per day.

  • Kids have always been changing the lexicon, its kinda what they're for.

  • Just what Firefox needed, more fucking popups for me to close. Its like playing one of those videogames that never stops tutorializing you.

  • TIL my body will only burn calories and build muscle if I run at the same time and the same way every day, or get a gym membership and do sets. Better give up going on hikes, and biking, and walking in the snow. It just won't deliver those Chris Pratt personal trainer results that every one has to look for.

  • I had kinda assumed by the second comment, but I can't actually help myself. I was born to argue with people and its why I am here.

  • Then take a 10 minute walk. Any amount of exercise that you can get in a day is better than none. The maximalist approach to it can be overwhelming and off-putting for people.

  • If I get on my bike and ride 40 minutes I don’t think my body cares that it wasn’t done in a structured way. I like to go fast so its not like an evening stroll. Unless you are a body builder, you don’t need a strict regiment. Just an openness to push your body doing things.

  • It's a "team building activity."

  • The idea of regimented excersice is such an adult drag. I went back to viewing it as a consequence of unstructured play time. Riding your bike, climbing trees, walking up hills and jumping around still count as being active. This way it can be spontaneous and organic and fun.

  • My swiss army knife has an awl on it which is just dull enough not to cut me when i use it to scrape out gunk.

  • I wonder how you are sposed to pronounce her name. I have been assuming juice-ika.

  • I highly doubt its that uncommon to be in your situation. Likely your phone has picked up on something and is serving you targeted ads, but the ad industry has decided that those ads should target only women for some reason. You gotta open a dialogue with you wife if you can, if you can't you might need outside help.

  • Fortunately ground turkey still makes decent chilli.

  • Ryan Cohen is very strange and uncomfortable.

Public perception of game stop is already poor and he is not helping that.

A few quarters of profitability is hardly enough to go on if you are trying to measure long term stability.

Gamestop revenue has never recovered to pre-pandemic levels.

Personally, if I am investing in a company, I am doing it because I believe in their mission for some reason. Maybe they are vital to the community. Maybe they are doing things in a way that is more ethical than their competition. Gamestop sells cheap plastic shit, I cannot make myself believe in that.

Frankly the whole idea of investing in a company to make personal profit out of it is cynical and rooted in exploitive capitalistic thinking.

  • When you invest in a company you also then have a vested interest in them doing well. That can cloud your judgement and cause you to look at the things you want to see.

  • Being that he is a billionaire, his connection to reality probably rivals your own.

  • That is still only $29 billion and somehow I don't think the CEO is gonna raise another $27 billion from selling socks and knickknacks. Kinda just sounds like inserting a middleman to angle at more profit. I would rather not pay a surcharge for eBay auctions, even if it adds some kind of quality assurance. His explanation of the acquisition just seems like more bullshit.

Edit: I wonder how many bag holders from the memestock era are viewing this as their salvation.
