    ZACHARY, La. (BRPROUD) – The Zachary Police Department says they arrested a former student after Zachary High School was tagged with graffiti.

    Police say that Shyron White was arrested at his home in Livingston Parish for drawing a triangle with a symbol in it on the exterior doors. Graffiti was found in several locations around the building, and police were alerted on Tuesday.

    “It’s always important to not damage someone else’s property. It costs money and time to, you know, to actually fix,” Zachary Police Department Chief Daryl Lawrence said. “And then you’ll have people like us out looking for you.”

    Lawrence said an incident like this is not common for the Zachary community. White is booked in the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison, charged with terrorism, criminal damage to property, aggravated assault and criminal trespassing.

    This is the Orwellian shit you're advocating when you start classifying vandalism as terrorism.

  • For anyone who is not familiar, Asheville is a very Left-leaning city in a deep red state. Last time I saw that many granola crunching hippies was in my mom's photo albums of the Haight-Ashbury district in '69. I'm not saying the town hall was full of Democrats, or that Asheville doesn't have its fair share of dyed-in-the-wool conservatives. I'm just saying that the general mindset in Asheville leans much further Left than the rest of NC, and that may explain why Edwards was getting so much shit from the public. Buncombe County (where Asheville is) voted 61% for Edwards' Democratic opponent Caleb Rudow in 2024.

  • This goes a bit further than that. They are trying to make spray-painting "ASSHOLE" on a Tesla an act of terrorism akin to burning down a Tesla factory. The two are not the same. This kind of law would make every graffiti artist a terrorist. That's not what anti-terrorism laws should be used for.

  • Not once the ball gets rolling, no. Plenty of Fascism has been averted through preemptive nonviolent action though. In fact, that's basically how Democracy works; Constant nonviolent vigilance keeping Fascism at bay. But once Fascism gains traction, the only thing that works to get rid of it is violence.     While you can argue that coordinated acts of destruction against Tesla dealerships could be defined as domestic terrorism, individual acts of vandalism against Tesla vehicles do not fall under this definition, nor should they. Otherwise, you could classify someone like Banksy as a terrorist. Is that the kind of world you want to live in?

    Those are real positions that are appointed by every President. "DOGE" is a complete bullshit position/department pulled out of thin air to avoid any kind of confirmation and/or security clearance.

    It is incredibly dangerous for a President to be allowed to invent whole government departments and appoint whoever he wants to them without any checks and balances.
