    However, I don’t expect to buy the absolute best product if I buy the products they score high. I just expect that whatever I buy will be de-risked: It‘ll be pretty good and there’s basically no chance that I buy rubbish.

  • Easy if you live in Germany! I go to test.de, search for what I‘m interested in, and pay them 4,90€ to access the test results.

    They‘re a foundation, originally founded by the German federal state, and the only way they make money is by selling access to test results.

  • I use washcloth mittens myself. These are popular here in Germany, cheap, practical and durable. I dry them next to my towel after I use them.

    I wash a mitten after 2-3 uses, and wash it with my towels. I put it to my nose for a smell test before I use it. And if it doesn’t smell fresh anymore, I‘ll put it in the laundry.

  • I see where you come from. The stink will be a challenge if you don’t shower daily. As a rule of thumb, if you can smell yourself, others do, too.

    A washcloth may do the trick. It’s important to use hot water and soap. Wash once with soap, a second time with clear water.

  • Yeah, it's not that easy to navigate. Let me try to untangle your thinking:

    You created a Fediverse account on the reddthat.com server. reddthat.com runs lemmy, which is a reddit-like software. Because they federate with other servers, you can read and write posts from other servers that run lemmy, too. For example, the Ask Lemmy community runs on the lemmy.world server.

    Most servers that run the lemmy software use lemmy's default web interface to show content. It's called lemmy-ui and it's pretty decent. However, because lemmy runs on the Fediverse, the web interface and the server are independent. You can choose from a ton of different web interfaces. Check this list for reference.
