I don't read DMs.

  • Good. It's impossible to enforce such a law, and they all know it.

  • I took it as sarcasm.

  • Gotta have time to talk, drink, take a piss, get a snack, argue about the last play, etc.

  • Morgan Cole Wallen is an American country pop singer from Sneedville, Tennessee.

  • Predictable. He cares about no one but himself. Zero empathy. Just like all billionaires.

  • Unpopular opinion: Don't drink that shit at all.

But, I do agree, from back when I used to drink that shit.

  • I agree completely. I chose a white house, and when I had my shingles replaced a couple of years ago, I told the guy I wanted the whitest ones. I've watched with interest the new "ultra white" paints that reflect a certain wavelength of the infrared spectrum straight back into space, thereby passively cooling a house. I'd love to slather my entire house in that stuff.

New Mexico. However, it does get pretty cold here in the winter, and a black house in the winter would be nice. But, I spend more on cooling than heating here, so white house it is.

  • No.

  • defeats the purpose of fries

I didn't know there was a purpose of fries beyond being yummy to whoever eats them.

  • Nah. Dessert doesn't need to be sweet, and main meals don't need to be savory. It doesn't matter at all.

  • I did many times as a kid.

  • Bigger tiles require a flatter floor. That's one reason to use small tiles on the floor, or anywhere for that matter. You don't need a perfect floor or wall.

  • True, but it's just semantics. You know what you're getting whatever the word is.

  • I agree for more formal writing. For instance, if I quote a character in a story I'm writing, I'll use "Okay." But, if I'm quoting what they texted, I'll use "OK".

  • I use "yea" as a cheer. Like, "Yea! It's raining!"

  • Unable to get Ranch for fries at Five Guys, and not liking ketchup, I started ordering a side of mayo for the seasoned fries. That quickly became my favorite fries. I haven't eaten out since the pandemic, but if I were to go out, I'd go to Five Guys to get this. Or, to KFC for an extra crispy chicken breast.

  • You're free to save anything locally, aren't you?

I dunno about phones, but I use the SingleFile extension for LibreWolf. It saves a website page complete in one html file, including images.

  • Most people have time to make at least their evening meal at home from fresh food. They just don't make that a priority. They're holding the instructions in their hands, but instead of learning basic cooking skills, they're ordering delivery and watching TikTok.

Yes, I'm blaming the parents for what they feed their kids. Big shock, I suppose.

  • They'd still just keep getting richer, and the families would blow the money on stupid shit and be broke again inside of a couple of years.

The problem isn't that they have a lot of money and we don't. The problem is the way they use the power the money gives them to purposely make our lives worse. It's the POWER, not the money.

Limiting what they can do with their power would be as effective as taking their power. The French Method is the most direct and effective way to do this, but reversing Citizen's United would be a very good first step, too.

The Supreme Court's 2010 ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission is a controversial decision that reversed century-old campaign finance restrictions and enabled corporations and other outside groups to spend unlimited money on elections.

Sadly, we're currently going in the opposite direction, and there's no way in hell the current SCOTUS bench will reverse CU. So, maybe the French Method is the only way.
