Israel is a client state that is completely dependant on the US for weapons and money.
That is why every war they've ever fought was forcibly ended by US presidents.
Most recently with single phone calls as seen in the Reagan administration, the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration.
Your take is ahistorical nonsense that can only come from either complete ignorance of recent history or a bad faith attempt to justify Biden's desire to commit genocide.
EDIT: we don't just give them weapons. Slightly over a third of ALL U. S. Foreign aid spending has gone to Israel.
Multiple politicians have explicitly come out and said it was because they couldn't control the images of genocide coming out of Israel, and it was turning people against Israel.
This deal is the same one Hamas agreed to since fucking May.
Israel was the one that would continuously balk.
They finally fucking agreed because Steve Witkoff went to Israel, demanded to see bibi, Bibi's aids tried to shove him off with a 'But it's Shabat'. Witkoff said ' I don't give a shit, and told Bibi to sign the fucking deal or the weapons and money would stop.
That was always the fucking option.
Israel is a client state of the US and wholely dependant upon us.
This deal is because of Trump, and the genocide was intentionally prolonged by Biden.
The worst person you know just did something good. The fact that you're so ignorant you blame the people that agreed to the peace deal almost a year ago tells everyone how ignorant and biased you are.
EDIT: AmidFuror: 500 IDF soldiers died since this treaty was agreed to by Hamas. They died for nothing other than to kill more Palestinian civilians.
Were their deaths worth it? How much do you value Israeli lives?
Climate change is going to open up a lot of trade routes year round as a lot of the ice melts.
Greenland is very strategically placed for controlling those trade routes. It's basically the same reason Trump wants the Panama canel.
Edit: Trump is bad. It is stupid that I have to say this, but if you want to fight someone you have to understand why they do things and you can't just assume stupidity as that reason.
We literally have a statement for this 'Don't underestimate your opponents'
Gee.... I guess the ongoing genocide the Democratic party is complicit in committing had absolutely nothing to do with it.
Nor the undemocratic primary selection of a geriatric without the ability to even debate that the the DNC knew was going senile back in '21 per their own leaked internal reports.
Nor was it the undemocratic selection of the person that ran a campaign around getting the support of fucking Dick Cheney, and said she didn't disagree with a single policy decision of the afore mentioned senile old man.
No. It was the economy. The economy that was good as the entire DNC tried to continuously tell us, going so far as to call it the Biden recovery.
And the DNC has no responsibility for the economy. They certainly didn't end every single very popular Covid era program and raise the interest rates so quickly, even though most of the inflation was provably mostly (more then 50%) from collusion of companies raising their prices. They even bragged about it during shareholder calls.
Your comment is so pathetically uninformed it is ludicrous.
You aren't a responsible citizen, as you put it. A responsible citizen should be informed of current events to help them make the decision on who to vote for.
Go pedal your ignorant defense of the people that handed the election to Trump somewhere else.
No. It's the campaign consultants that drove a failed strategy based on tacking to the right, and people like you that try to protect those consultants jobs by shaming others.
Saying politicians have to earn votes is not a moral statement in the same way that saying the sun rises in the east isn't.
It is a statement of fact about the game board that politicians play on. Complaining about that is useless for actually winning. It just serves to protect those that failed you. ie the DNC's campaign team.
EDIT: What does your view give you? A brief moment of self-righteous joy, with no improved chances of winning. You think trying to shame people you want something from will get them to give it to?
Or do you think treating the people you require something from as a power bloc that has concessions made to it is more likely to get you what you want?
'Logic' like you just posted is what gave us Trump.
A political parties job is to win elections.
If you know a significant percentage of the population thinks like the person you responded to, and you don't do anything to win their votes, then you are intentionally trying to lose as effectively as if you worked for the Trump campaign.
Having admined an instance with about 200 users, and migrated over to xmpp, I'm never going back.
It is such a beast in comparison to xmpp, and maintance is so much easier, as are full backups.
