When I visited a place in Central America this was what the grocery store looked like. Although the guards probably had a lot less authority to just kill anyone, and their faces were uncovered.
If you’re not some weird troll, your doctors are morons for not suggesting a sleep study if you went to them with half as much information as you’ve told lemmy like five different times.
I’m back in school at ~40, so you got back on track quicker than I did!
Consult ratemyprofessor.com but don’t treat it like a bible, sometimes teachers with a strong personality get bad reviews. But if it’s mostly bad reviews that’s a red flag.
Be SO unashamed to ask questions, nobody is taking these classes because they already know everything. Asking questions is a shortcut to showing you’re engaged and thinking, on top of it just helping you to understand something. If you’re wondering, someone else is too.
If a teacher is an ass to you over this or anything else, you can usually withdraw from a class and get your money back in the first week or two of classes.
Look for clubs you’re interested in and participate. Check out stuff that sounds interesting but you know nothing about. Maybe be a little on the look out for cults and multilevel marketing.
Take the time to volunteer for a cause you feel strongly about. It doesn’t have to be a huge amount of time or every week, but it’s worth doing, and usually benefits whatever clubs you’re in.
I consider myself introverted as well, it was scary to learn to do a lot of this stuff but I think it’s really worth pushing through the discomfort.
I also can’t imagine bragging about being so busy doing work for the hope of a raise that I didn’t have time to pursue things I felt strongly about. Recenter your priorities.
Lmao. Whatever makes you feel better. Would like to know how calling someone a traitor doesn’t involve throwing them under the bus, how criticizing you for making shit up is MAGA, or why you need to tag someone you blocked, but I guess someone else will have to do it.
She was a college student doing sex work, he wasn’t introduced to her by name and title. She says she didn’t recognize him until later and I have no reason to disbelieve her.
Plus, if you bother to read the article, she has been trying to speak out about this for over a decade.
Because this is not the first time I’ve actually talked about this. I’ve talked about this at least five or six times over the last 11 years. And every other time that I have tried to bring it up, I’ve either been silenced, shut down or no one really takes it seriously and they just think I’m lying or I’m making something up. But now that the late senator has passed away, it’s like now everyone cares.
Being that ready to throw a trans woman under the bus based on a bunch of shit you imagined isn’t a great look.
Making people see that Republicans don't want this is as much a strategy as trying to pass the bill itself. 'Only try to pass legislation if you know it will pass' is why Senate Democrats are weak babies who are more concerned with getting along with their Republican colleagues than playing the game.
To me they look too dark to be mosquito larvae and aren’t quite moving the way larvae would (jerky sudden motions). It’s hard to tell with the video quality though
