I detest those stupid screen fridges. Why does a fridge need an entertainment system? Or any smart features? I just want a box that stays cold to put my cold things in.
Wow. That is insane. They spent extra time engineering it to fail in a specific time frame, it looks like! Just awful. Looking up some pictures of those, they just seem to crumble! Awful design. Yeah, I'm not too keen on Samsung products either. Hopefully by the time I replace this fridge, I will be able to find something better in this size.
Oh, those look really nice. I didn't really want the Samsung, but it was basically the only one that fit in my space constraints and had an icemaker that I could find. And find quickly, as my previous one died. The next appliance on my list is the dishwasher. Hear any recommendations on those?
That looks Macgyvered as fuck, and i love it. I've done something similar before, but just temporarily and not attached to the headphones. I plugged my AKG K712 cans into my portable headphone amp, and that to a Bluetooth audio receiver. Then, had to have a power bank to run it all. It all fit into a Nintendo DS carrying case, but definitely not as convenient as having it attached to the cans.
I just love the PSP. I have a 2000, but I rarely use it. But I use my 1000 quite a bit. Other than being re-shelled, it has a glass lens and an IPS screen. I think I might remove the UMD drive to do a big battery mod. Don't think I've used the UMD drive once since modding it.
Ys Seven and Midnight Club are my faves on the console. But Ace Combat X and Me & My Katamari are also way up there.
Personal sized pie crust, with one scoop of vanilla ice cream. Take one tablespoon of low-sodium soy sauce, and mix in brown sugar until saturated. Drizzle the resulting syrup over the ice cream. Don't know what to call it, but I'd try it.
Midwest, USA. The last time i was hourly, I was in the UAW. We were paid weekly. Overtime was 1.5x, Sundays were 2x. Holidays were an extra 1x, so a Friday holiday would be 2x. A Saturday holiday would be 2.5x, and a Sunday holiday would be a glorious 3x.
Since I've been salary. One place has been paid twice a month and the rest have been every two weeks. One place had what they called "bank hours", where anything over 45 hours (our base week) were put into your hours bank. This could be used as additional PTO. The cap for the bank was 60 hours. After that, you were paid out straight time with your overage. Another place paid out straight time over 45 (our base week was 40 hours) that pay period, no bank.
Where I am at now is just straight salary, but I rarely work over 40. And the pay is still significantly more than anywhere else I have worked. Which makes me wonder if those other companies knew they were over working us, and our base salaries were based on the assumption of how much OT we would be working.
