  • Most thermal paper isn't recyclable though, the chemicals that allow the heat to print onto them can't be easily recycled. A simple Brother laser printer would be a better option for most people if they're just printing black text

  • Lots of the "worlds largest" attractions in America are made to gain tourist attention, like the worlds largest picnic basket, pistachio, etc. They're usually in areas people wouldn't normally go. This one is at PistachioLand, which is a large pistachio farm near White Sands National Park, so it's not necessarily in the middle of nowhere (but maybe a little). They do make a lot of really good pistachio based snacks. Different flavor roasted nuts, pistachio ice cream, red and green chili based foods like jerky or jams. It's definitely a tourist trap but the nuts they make are good, local and not from Wonderful Pistachios which has terrible quality control and less flavor options.

    If anyone here ever heads down to see White Sands, definitely try the garlic or green chili roasted pistachios there.

  • I generally don't take a lot of photos besides things I need to grab at the store, so he's the worlds largest pistachio in Alamogordo, NM from when my wife and I went down there to visit friends and sight see in January.

    Some examples;

    No, you will not receive mail anymore if you haven't picked up your mail in almost 2 years, it doesn't matter if it's important, you've lost that privilege over a year ago. Get a PO box.

    Yes, you are required to pick up all your mail, whether you want the junk mail or not. You cannot pick and choose what you pick up. Empty it all from your box or you won't get any.

    Yes, you are required to use your apartment number on ALL your mail. Insufficient addresses don't get delivered, especially in an apartment complex. I don't give a shit if Amazon delivers without an apartment number, we're not Amazon. If you don't know where you live how can I?

    You haven't received mail in 3 weeks because you've had your car in front of your box for 3 weeks, move your car if you want mail.

    No, writing a note to your mailman saying not to deliver mail for "current resident" and saying "NO JUNK MAIL" doesn't work. You ARE the current resident, and again, you do not get to choose. You get all your mail or you get no mail. Pick one.

  • I'm not religious either, but I'm aware of the core principles of Christianity. Trump is the embodiment of greed, and goes heavily against what the Bible teaches, look no further than "love thy neighbor." He actively goes against that core principle daily. I'm sure someone has done a full write up of all the things trump has done that's against the Bibles teachings, yet these Bible loving """Christians""" swear he's the second coming of Jesus and was appointed by god.

    It's a cult, plain and simple. Christians follow him because a good amount of them are conservative, because their believe is only surface level. It's only faith when it's convenient and "against gods wishes or whatever" when it's against their conservative beliefs.

    Christians that belive trump is the greatest and sent to us by god haven't read the same fucking book they're constantly quoting, they're hypocrites and traitors to themselves and their supposed beliefs. He is in fact the antichrist according to these people's own book.

  • The amount of bootleg dvd shops I saw in Paraíba and the amount of friends that have uTorrent installed on their phones is more proof of that. I'm all for it, I wish bandwidth was better all around Brazil to make it easier for everyone to just download whatever you guys want, especially if it's from an American company

  • Yes and no, my main system is EndeavourOS as well as one laptop that stays docked in the bedroom as a media PC. My HTPC is running Mint with KDE, my Steam Deck is stock SteamOS, my MacBook Pro is running Asahi Linux, server running TrueNAS and Raspberry Pi's running stock Raspberry Pi OS. Mainly I just like KDE, and have a preference for Arch based systems.

    I prefer EndeavourOS and haven't had issues with it for a couple years now, but Mint on the HTPC was a reason to try Mint and I just left it alone except for swapping Cinnamon for KDE. Asahi is the only option for M1 MacBooks so no choice there. Pi OS I never really use the system as a computer, I just have one running PiHole and another running a digital calander for the wife and I, so I only interact with them through ssh or web portals. My Steam Deck works perfectly fine as is and I mainly just use the Steam launcher anyway so no point changing it. The TrueNAS system I mainly use through a web portal or SMB so it's fine.

  • Not only that but there wasn't even a notification on the dashboard for me after updating the OS that k3s were being replaced, I found out after updating when my apps wouldn't work. When did I update? About 2 weeks after the migration deadline. Had to rebuild my Plex, Jellyfin and Immich apps.

    Don't get me wrong, I don't like notifications from the OS developer in my system, but that would've been a great heads up and a worthy exception. "Hey migrate your apps now or your shit will break" would've worked.

  • 3 of my 4 desktops are running AM4. My main rig has a 5950x, the home theater PC has a 5500 and my wife's gaming rig has a 5600. I rebuilt the HTPC several months ago and specifically went with AM4 for price to performance (and because it's a Linux box)
