  • Yeah i never call or hang out with them separately, but i enjoy seeing them once or twice a year when we all get together

  • Anywhere that has an actual supply chain instead of website that's just a front for individual resellers. Places like best buy, or if you could get shipped from microcenter.

  • Yeah this stuff is why i never buy tech from Amazon, you never know if you're gonna get a counterfeit item

  • iirc they said they weren't selling at a loss, but that's not the same thing as selling at a low margin. PC manufacturers have to make essentially 100% of their profit from the initial sale of the device, but valve can make a smaller profit from the sale of each device because they know each device will lead to additional profit through game purchases

  • And also cheaper because steam expects to make additional money on each user in the future via steam purchases, so they can keep the margin smaller in the hardware price

  • I can verify personally that that's true. I put sugar in my gas tank and i was amazed how much better my car ran!

  • Rob Reiner died today, sad

  • Never crossed my mind. And now that I'm trying to think about it all the names i try out sound wrong because i so strongly associate myself with my given name. Even other names of my same gender don't feel like they're me.

  • The left two are bendable like a fedex envelope, the one on the right is hard plastic

  • Ignorant nonsense. I live in nyc and tons of us LOVE that people from other countries have moved here. Tons of blended immigrant neighborhoods is one of the things that makes this place so freaking fantastic. Chinatown, little Italy, koreatown, little Caribbean, little Odessa, Spanish Harlem,... fugeddaboutit

  • I just looked it up and I'm fairly certain it wouldn't work. Every time the output waveform gets too low then the led would turn off, which is what creates the flicker. An led needs a constant current to stay on constantly.

  • That name is awful and will reduce how many users it will get

  • That's what's so stupid about the whole problem - the solution is known and easy but it costs a tiny bit more to make so lots of manufacturers don't do it. It just needs to run off DC instead of AC. Simple.

  • Did he ignore flicker problems again like last year? Because flicker ruins lights for a lot of us

  • Almost no one buys a super expensive phone that has a totally new form factor without trying it out in real life before buying it

  • This is a very cool piece of technology. The comments here naysaying about it seem odd to me. If it's not for you that's fine, but many millions of foldables have been bought over the past few years, and they continue to sell very well today
