  • It doesn't have to be for kitchen goods

  • Even then it doesn't make sense to wall off the space. People have things that they'll almost never use again but don't want to throw away. A tucked away space is perfect for that. Just cut a big hole in the sidewall facing the wedge area, now you have storage space you can reach when you take out the drawers.

  • You have to live in a very oversized house in area where space is extremely cheap to decide to just throw space away. Yes that wedge of corner space under the counter is inconvenient, but it would still be useful for things you only need to get to very occasionally.

  • Por que no los dos?

  • I pretty much never regret going out

  • Quietly?

  • Riots? I haven't heard about this, which riots is he referring to?

  • Yeah i think the downvoters aren't very familiar with xkcd

  • A/S/L?

    jk, I'm old

  • Obviously one can figure it out, but that doesn't change the fact that the chart is mistitled. It's XKCD, this is the type of thing that the entire comic series is all about. They've specifically done lots of comics about mistitled charts

  • Then the chart is mistitled. It needs to say average goals per game

  • And with ai generated media they can easily just generate a video of a particular person doing a crime and then claim it's a recording.

  • All buildings in nyc have significant basement levels. Whether or not it goes into bedrock depends on which area you're talking about. The reason why all the tallest buildings in Manhattan are in downtown and midtown is because that's where the bedrock is closest to the surface. The more you can build down into bedrock, then the taller the building can go up. But i believe literally every single building in nyc has at least one basement level below the street. Flooding in nyc only happens during historic storms that happen like once every couple of decades

  • OP was talking about the software companies, not the ram companies

  • And when you click on the link to see the source, the link is broken

  • There's tons of pay underground parking in nyc

  • The other reply is basically the answer. If you feel a lot of wanting, then seeing other people have what you want can be upsetting. This reaction is more likely in some circumstances, like when you're relatively young, or you're depressed, or not comfortable in your life, and other things like that.

IMO the way to improve that is to improve yourself. Focus on yourself, work on becoming the person that you want to be based on where you're starting from right now.

  • But it also makes you happy when other people are happy
