  • Must be super hot for that drag queen genitalia then, huh?

I'm starting to think the you thought you were at a drag show, when really you were at some strip show with dudes in dresses. Then you decided to go to two more of them, lol.

  • I hate that on a few issues I have to agree with this twat. Better than him being in the wrong side is those issues too, but it still tastes bad.

  • There will be a new generation that learns about VPNs and torrents. Life is cyclical.

  • Damn hydration. Always growing too many heads.

  • Maybe, but CPUs are coming out with LLM tuned chips, and I can run a basic model on an i5, 8gb ram, and no dedicated card. It's not super powerful, but for most users, it's more than enough for what they use the big models for. Also, if it does take a discrete card to get that needed boost in performance, then at least consumers would be able to get GPUs again.

I think as hardware improve and is further designed around LLM efficiency, and local models are tuned for specific uses and being able to run on lesser hardware, it will make Nvidia obsolete for large swaths of the population. A good GPU will still be necessary for high performance, graphic/physics intense gaming, but that's a really small subset of all users.

Hopefully Nvidia just shits and has to grovel back to the consumer to get there marketshare back when all of the DCs go tits up.

  • It feels like one of those technologies that can't truly be contained. It's like how the government keeps trying to end piracy. It's like a hydration hydra. Cut off one head and two more show up. Local models will be the dagger to premiere models.

  • Fair enough. But they're trying to block explicitly sexual performances, which drag shows aren't. They're not putting these on in public parks, but even if they did, it should still be allowed for dudes to put on dresses and dance.

Anyone that shows there genitals in public spaces, especially to children, should be reprimanded. That's not what's happening here. This is a law veiled in "protect the children" but it's just targeted bigotry.

  • Look at all those genitals. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Also, these drag queens and the bar put on this show and then donated all of the tips and earnings as a fundraiser for a gentleman I worked with that was going through cancer treatment. Oh the humanity.

  • They can't, because it doesn't exist. Most states have restrictions on genital exposure in strip clubs. No way any drag shows are going that far, especially since they usually occur in bars or clubs.

  • I have been to one once. I have photo and video evidence if you'd like me to share. It was in an 18+ bar and there was no nudity. Drag shows are entirely about crossdressing, not stripping.

Show any example where there was a drag show at a child friendly event, and if you happen to pull that off, show any example where they showed there genitals. You can't, because that doesn't happen.

You have know idea what the fuck you're talking about, or you do and you're arguing in bad faith and just being a bigot.

  • Remember when Dog the Bounty Hunter was a thing? We need more of that today.

  • Sounds like there's a market for a hugging face comeptitor.

Nvidia is seeing the writing on the wall that local models are the only viable future for AI. They have to try and squash that now before it's too late. I mean, it is already is too late, as they've hooked there wagons to these AI companies, and that shit's going to end and nividia is going to be a bag holder. I can't wait.

  • Fascists gonna fascist.

  • Tell me you don't know what a drag show is with out saying you don't know what a drag show is.

  • Mostly inherited wealth, but also those things.

  • For sure. I've already contemplated switching to a different streaming service for music, but while I have YT premium I'll keep using YT music, although they keep making that interface worse and worse. My YT consumption will just plummet to only a couple of channels, and I'll just work through my backlog of the terabytes of media I have on my Plex server. Hell, might even go outside and see what that's all about, but I don't want to rush into anything.

  • I have my sub shared across a couple different families in 4 different houses, in 2 different states. If they crack down, I'm dropping my subscription.

  • While true, I don't have to do any work at all right now to listen to as much music as I want and new music is available immediately. I also don't have to setup something to be able to stream music remotely so that I don't have to store all of it on my space limited device.

  • This is my setup, and we are spread across 4 houses in 2 states. Never been an issue.
