obviously but until they break the rules the whole instance shouldnt be defederated. I highly doubt an instance called magaland is going to last long though.
Good, the more people on this protocol the better. If they behave then they shouldnt be defederated. But most maga beliefs are already breaking every rule.
The stigma around therapy is shifting to people not trusting therapists to be effective. It doesn't seem like people fault each other for having mental health struggles as much these days but people do not trust that a therapist will be of any help to them. When I talk with other people they say therapy was a waste of money/time even trying upwards of 10+ therapists.
They can still share tools and best practices but now they cant be involved in the post to post moderation.
As for controlling content, it isn’t like a corporation or political group can’t create 20 accounts and take over subs. That’s already happened on Reddit.
You cant do this if the mods are already doing this because the mods will remove the posts. Giving them a huge block of control over a majority of the content on the platform.
Reddit can ban users across vpn with their automated system. Its even easier if they have tasked someone to look into doing it. I doubt people are taking enough steps to prevent the browser fingerprinting that gives them a unique signature.
Not really. The powermods arent bringing anything unique moderation except a network that allows them to control content for a specific audience. This is not about enforcing subreddit rules its about subreddit mods pushing an agenda across their subs and pushing sponsored posts outsides reddits ad program.
Its overall a good thing but the powermods will be replaced with reddit admins doing the ame
Web browser. SMS and calling are completely useless. I need a phone so I can access the internet outside. I dont want a dumb 20 year old phone I want a modern phone without the pointless bullshit.
My ideal phone would have a small screen, replaceable battery, shit camera, shit speakers, 5G, two USB C slots and be able to run android apps and be cheap
I am meaning it has "everything" the average user wants all in one place. For example on Facebook you can see news, talk with friends, share any media, play games, join communties for a wide variety of hobbies. Its also designed to keep you on site. This makes it a 1 stop shop for people. We can look at all the big platforms and see that they have a wide variety of content to keep the user entertained and methods to make them not want to go anywhere else.
I dont think its good, like the title of the post I think the convenience of everything being in a single site/app is a trap.
Safe storage laws, licenses and responsibility for anything that happens with your gun. No public carry laws. Removal of gun owning rights for people that commit violent or drug related crime. These are like the bare minimum needed to have a society with guns.
Police vists for people acting unhinged online and check they dont have any illegal weapons. Different classes of licenses with increased scruity.
I dont think that would help because chrome would offer good by default and apple would offer chrome by default for the "best experience" and they dont need the money. Then alternative browsers with an already low market share would get paid less to offer other search engines. Its risky to ship a non google search by default.
