Just a below average idiot that mostly comments for one of 3 reasons:

Catharsis, expressing exasperation over the general state of things.

Looking to make someone laugh.

Self deprecation.

  • Honestly the only good thing that should come of this is the dissolution of the democratic party. They need to go. Feckless and out of touch. They rode the high horse right off a cliff and the Republican Nazis were waiting at the bottom to chew them to pieces.

I swear if the Democrats don't die off we're in for MAGA forever...

  • As if I had any power to change what has happened with our government over my entire life to begin with. I'm just one useless prick in a sea of Nazis

  • Thanks COVID. You took our family members, forced us to have to "save the economy" causing inflation and now gave us a dictator. The gift that keeps on giving.

  • I'm just waiting for the almost immediate removal of the filibuster now that it would be Democrats using it. They're going to have the trifecta of control and they're going to go full scorched earth on Democrats.

  • It's time I stop reading the news for the next 4 years. It's going to be nothing but absolutely infuriating.

Trump gets away with everything and the people trying to uphold some sense of justice immediately get the hammer.

    I hate people so much.

  • Yeah, but Fox news says people are mean to him and something about immigrants raping me! I don't remember it happening, but Sean Hannity says it did so it must have.

  • Shitstain hypocrite Magoos cried rivers over Twitter when faux news wouldn't shut up about their "bias" but now that one of their own has control it all radio silence...

Absolutely fucking absurd how people who rile over the concept of "elites" running the country are ok with two "billionaires" doing it...

  • "Soldiers on the battlefield have reported seeing the robotic AI driven dogs charging enemy positions shouting "STOLEN ELECTION! VACCINES CAUSE RABIES! JEWISH SPACE LASERS!!" it has been considered a resounding success."

  • MAGA:

  • While there are strategic advantages to that

He's relying on The Base to take action. He's using propaganda to convince Republican voters to not accept a loss and to allow Republicans to take whatever measures (actually steal the election) to ensure that "justice" is served and a "correct" counting of votes can happen. This is entirely meant to give cover to the lie that the Democrats cheated and so allows them to be more extreme in a coup attempt.

  • To the surprise of no one. Lying ass piece of shit pretending to be "unbiased" and "just asking questions" has been pushing right wing narratives for years.

I used to occasionally tune in when he had scientists I liked on the show, but after hearing a few other episodes I quickly realized what his deal was.

  • That is definitely the hope, but with how some of the states like PA handle the elections and with how the GOP is going to try to gum up the works in every way possible I don't think we're going to know who won until possibly the weekend or later :(

  • This was somewhat interesting to listen to in regard to all the disinformation news lately: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=R27gKwDhvM8

"Unfortunately" he ended with some flowery bullshit about how he believes we can overcome this, even though the government will be useless in that regard and it's just up to us, so maybe it's just the pessimist in me, but I feel the exact opposite. The lie will always win over truth and vast amounts of money are behind "the lie."

  • We need to think about using technology to help people work less. Not just fatten profits.

It's such a hard topic to deal with because you have to tackle the concept of ownership.

As it currently stands in capitalist economies the owner, as the title implies, owns the means to increase productivity that would enable people to work less, but since they are the owners they see it is morally repugnant to have other people who did "nothing extra" get "more" money as the math is essentially: less work, same pay = greater value, except you didn't provide any greater value to them, the machine/technology that they own did.

    It's a shitty situation for sure :(

  • The downside to that is it is much harder to continue working as you age depending on the trade. Usually the "best" route there is to start early, learn what you can, and go independent eventually hiring other people to do the hard stuff you no longer can do.

Also need to be careful specializing.... I went super specific and well... Yeah... Ice cream refrigeration machines aren't exactly ubiquitous. I should have stuck with residential HVAC but I hated crawling under houses and being on call all night :/

I currently work in a factory (yeah I'm just chock full of bad decisions) and I can say from what I've gathered from my coworkers being a "machinist" isn't so much of a viable trade anymore. Everyone pays like shit now.

  • I'm pretty sure it's all part of the plan. They want to drag it out past the date that results need to be certified in as many states as they can so they can try to force the vote to go to the house of representatives where each state gets one vote and with 26 Republican controlled states that means they get to install Trump as president...

Some have speculated that's what Trump was referring to as "his little secret with speaker Johnson" :/

  • Thanks for the laugh, I loved this line: "He looks like he’s been bobbing for hummus. They say after a while you get the face you deserve, and Trump’s just desserts appear to have been applied with a trowel."

  • Yeah I'd imagine so if there's a third party involved.
