I have opinions. Some of them are terrible. For this I am sorry.

Don't DM me without permission please

  • Gooning isn't just masturbating. While its absolutely healthy do make a decision to spend the whole day masturbating as a choice, spontaneously deciding on a goon sesh because someone wanted to crank one out real quick is evidence of an unhealthy relationship with sexual Self-conduct. If one cannot resist the urge to excessively masturbate, thereby damaging an Upcoming planned sexual encounter with a loved one, one can assume they have an unhealthy relationship with masturbation and should seek help if they can.

  • I feel super sorry for whoever has to do my next tire change, the previous owner of my vehicle (just purchased otherwise it'd already have had a tire change) was using fix-a-flat for top ups so the didn't have to lug out the air compressor.

I have no idea how much goo is in these tires, but I can only assume they look like the aftermath of a ménage et troi with 3 "Slimers" from ghostbusters.

  • People who don't want AI generated social stories on their feeds.

  • "Background clutter"

It's an AI generated image and you found one of the best telltale signs of such. The background doesn't contain anything except what the image generator thinks should be in the background of an image.

Other signs are the broken patterns on the cat bed, and the individual hairs on each cat looking super jank and some abruptly ending. Also the bed is levitating over a concrete floor.

  • ¯(ツ)_/¯

  • Ah yes, CO to NM

  • For English speakers?

It's a trade language, if you're talking to tourists it makes sense to use a trade language.

  • I get its a meme, but like, an AI would absolutely not use that much power to imagine some fat perky tits. Honestly they probably make up so much of the training data that it'd be the easiest thing for an AI to "imagine"

  • That pocket reform looks super cool, added to the "save up for me" list

  • Guess I'm going back to a dumbphone next time because I'm NOT letting Google see what I'm downloading, I'd rather carry a laptop all day.

  • Buldak because their chicken flavor is artificial 🥰

  • Upgrade will upgrade the system to whatever is newest in your package cache. If, for example, you've just performed a partial upgrade and put yourself into an unsupported state, running upgrade without first running update will put your system back in line with itself.

There probably almost never a reason for this, but its the equivalent of running pacman -u which under normal circumstances you will never do

  • I don't think I fit any stereotypes about Americans in general, but I'm a book of stereotypes on queer Americans.

  • Chicken wire both keeps pest animals out and acts as a base for any climbing plants you may put against your fence.

You can just staple it on. Paint over it to match your fence color if you want to keep it from rusting

  • If you've got the hardware capabilities, I just Read yesterday that Kodi supports CEC and can be used to control your DVD player or Set Top boxes that also support it IF you have it plugged into your CEC port.

This means turning a raspberry pi into the best media access client there is for a TV takes like 20-40 minutes (install librelec, profit?)

  • I think automatic transmissions have conditioned people to sit too far from the pedals.

I just bought an old classic and haven't driven stick in a decade. After I got everything comfy and adjusted how I wanted I realized something: I couldn't get the clutch all the way down if I tried, I'm too far away. Same for the brakes.

Power brakes have made us feel as though all we need is the braking power of our toes, but what happens when your ABS pump goes out and you have to use actual force to apply the brakes at 65mph? Do you have the leverage to get those brakes as far down as they need to to stop safely?

If we were all still popping clutches at every red light I don't think this would be an issue. I think we'd have less distracted drivers too, needing to shift manually keeps a driver engaged with the car and road.

I Wasn't advocating to ban Automatic Transmissions when this comment started, I am now.

  • I firmly believe in moderation.

I roll my own cigarettes, I might go through two a day if I'm overusing. Vaping changed my relationship with Nicotine such that I have a much as I want, when I want it. Rolling my own allows me to bypass the markings on a cigarette that tell you "you're done smoking this one" giving me power over it, a chance to decide I've had enough without the smoke making that decision for me.

I also occasionally consume alcohol. My partner is a recovering alcoholic who also believes in my philosophy of moderation over abstainance, simply for the power over substance aspect. We occasionally pick up a four pack of session brews, every few weeks or so. Beer is tasty, but we never want to have more on us than we'll have in an evening, and we try not to make a habit of consuming.

Why? I enjoy my vices. I don't feel as though the way I partake in them has negatively affected my life, so I plan to continue partaking in them as I choose to.

  • Back when I was in management my number one advice to the folks under my leadership was "care less". Like sure even from a management position it isn't hard to see that becoming emotionally invested in work is the easiest way for a missed sale to ruin someone's week. But from the human perspective its like, why care so much? You barely make a fraction of a percent of the total value of your labor here, tip the scales, give them the bare minimum of labor and stop caring so much.
